We just got a phone call from a scammer. We received a call from a out of state number stating that there was a change in TV frequency. The caller never identified what company he was with or what was being changed. He inquired if I was watching TV. Our staff member requested information on what what was being changed and who the programmer is. The caller promptly hung up. Please be aware of these type calls. No TV station, Cable or Satellite company would call you and ask if you are watching TV.

Sister Lakes Cable manages and maintains all TV program streams and if there are changes we update your cable box remotely and there is no need for us to ask if you are watching TV. Our staff members will always clearly identify our selves and the purpose of the call, and if you are still unsure you are welcome to call us back as confirmation.

We are currently assessing damage for the high winds that are around 55 mph right now.

Power is out in many areas including Sunrise Ave. If you have Frontier internet service you will want to contact them

If you have a line down, please call the office and we will generate a ticket for repair.

There has been a on going issue with the US Postal system. Thank you to those who let us know you have not got a statement via US Mail. A big thanks to those who are working with us on the missing or late payments that were sent via US Mail. I saw a news article that helps validate its not Sister Lakes Cable and it is not definitely the sender. Read up on this article from WWMT.

Residents across Southwest Michigan are reporting mail delivery delays, with some waiting weeks to receive their letters and packages.

Midwest Energy has a large area impacting power outage. We are included in this outage. Areas impacted by this outage is mostly contained to the Magician Lake Area. All services impacted in this area. There has been no repair time estimates made available.

Dear Sister Lakes Cable TV and Internet Subscriber,

This is a High Risk Maintenance Notice.

What does a High Risk Notification mean? All Services have a high risk of disruption.

Our Backbone data provider will be performing a maintenance to upgrade core equipment serving the Dowagiac area beginning on Thursday 11/07/24 at 11pm and ending on Friday 11/08/24 at 6am.

This maintenance is being performed by a link provider to Sister Lakes Cable and not by Sister Lakes Cable directly. With the redundant nature of our network there is a minimal chance of a few short outages as our system switches to our back up link and then reverts to the primary link when the Maintenance is complete.

In the case of all outages that impact our customers services we strive to keep all downtime to a minimum.
