We hear this almost every week. It's only half true.
In August alone, people in the US searched "cremation" on Google 60,500 times. Those searches don't all come from the same kind of family.
Most families are a mix of these five:
๐ฐ Price. They want the lowest cost.
โญ Trust. They read your Google reviews before your prices.
๐ The offer. They compare what's in each package.
โฑ๏ธ Speed. They pick whoever answers first.
๐๏ธ Premium. They want to know they chose well.
A price cut only speaks entirely to the first group.
So before you lower your prices, do the math. Say each cremation leaves you $900 after costs. Cut your price by $450 and you need twice as many families just to earn what you earn today.
Do you have a plan to double your calls?
If not, work on the other four first. Get more reviews. Make your packages easy to understand. Answer the phone faster.
A few price shopper calls are not a reason to pivot your whole business.
