Vladimir Božović, the founder of ZenHire shared his thoughts on the topic of technological innovations and whether they represent a threat to business' in the future. You can read all about it below! 💡

A startup needs to assess well WHEN technologies/events that could disrupt its business become relevant.
It's not easy, but it's essential.
Because if the deadline is far enough, startups have room to position themselves so that what might have killed them 6 months ago makes them stronger now. 💪
"You're solving problems in the customer support hiring process for call centers. But how will you compete with AI-driven customer support that's about to be relevant?" asked a mentor of Vladimir Božović, ZenHire's founder, during the pitch.
Here's how Vladimir responded to the unanswerable question 👇
Being an engineer, Vladimir said he understands the distinction between technology being announced and it becoming standard practice. He estimated that the change would occur in 2 to 3 years, not earlier.
By then, his company should have:
✅ Deep market understanding,
✅ Strong client relationships,
✅ The first shot at implementing the new technology, as about 80% of their existing tech can be adapted. Or they'll simply have enough money to acquire companies entering the market at that time. 🙃
Lesson:
A threat becomes a threat only if the risk materializes.
Risk materializes if you make the wrong estimate about:
1⃣ how fast you need to run to stay ahead of the competition,
2⃣ what your unique source of competitive advantage is.
Since people are wary of AI, a new competitor will have a much harder time accessing and selling AI as a human replacement. ZenHire will already have the trust of decision-makers.
Furthermore, is a market with a strong emphasis on deep data when building products, something Vladimir's company will have by then. If they decide to build, they'll build faster and better. If they decide to sell, they'll sell data.
The ZenHire team maintained their while answering a question with no answer, demonstrating that calmness during a storm might be the best way to conquer it. 🏄♀

Startap treba dobro da proceni KADA tehnologije/događaji koji bi mogli da poremete njegovo poslovanje postaju aktuelni.
To nije lako. Ali je neophodno.
Jer ako je rok dovoljno daleko, startapi imaju prostora da dođu do pozicije u kojoj ih nešto što bi ih možda ubilo pre 6 meseci, sada čini jačima. 💪
„Rešavate probleme u procesu zapošljavanja korisničke podrške u call centrima. Ali kako ćete se takmičiti sa korisničkom podrškom koju pokreće veštačka inteligencija koja će uskoro biti aktuelna?“ upitao je mentor Vladimira Božovića, osnivača ZenHire-a, tokom pitch-a.

Kao inženjer, Vladimir je rekao da razume razliku između najave tehnologije i toga da ona postane standardna praksa. On je ocenio da će do pomenute promene doći za 2 do 3 godine, ne ranije.
Do tada bi njegova kompanija trebalo da ima:
✅ Duboko poznavanje tržišta,
✅ Čvrste odnose sa klijentima,
✅ Prvu priliku za primenu nove tehnologije, jer oko 80% njihove trenutne tehnologije može da se prilagodi. Ili će jednostavno imati dovoljno novca da kupe kompanije koje će tada izaći na tržište. 🙃
Lekcija:
Pretnja postaje pretnja samo ako se rizik ostvari.
Rizik se materijalizuje ako napravite pogrešnu procenu o tome:
1⃣ koliko brzo morate da trčite da biste ostali ispred konkurencije,
2⃣ šta je vaš jedinstveni izvor konkurentske prednosti.
Pošto se ljudi plaše veštačke inteligencije, novom konkurentu će biti mnogo teže da pristupi i proda AI kao zamenu za ljude, ljudima. ZenHire će već imati poverenje donosioca odluka.
Takođe, je tržište sa izraženom važnošću posedovanja dubokih podataka prilikom izrade proizvoda, nešto što će Vladimirova kompanija imati do tada. Ako odluče da grade, gradiće brže i bolje. Ako odluče da prodaju, prodaće podatke.
Tim ZenHire je zadržao svoj dok je odgovarao na pitanje na koje niko nema odgovor, pokazujući da je smirenost tokom oluje možda najbolji način da se ona pobedi. 🏄♀
