It was a thrill to welcome Olympian and New York native Danny Casper to the Capitol yesterday. A proud member of Team USA’s 2026 Olympic Curling Team, it was Danny’s father – who I had the pleasure of curling with and against many years ago – who got him started in the sport at age 11.

After years of training and success, he battled through health challenges to qualify and train for the Olympic games in Milan this year, and I was proud to join Senator Harckham in presenting him with an official Senate resolution in recognition of all he’s accomplished. Congratulations, Danny!

The 2026 Cool Duck (November 5 through 8) will be a 5U Qualifier next season! More details, including registration, will be released soon.

The USA Curling Five-and-Under Nationals, a championship for adult curlers with five years or less of experience in the sport, will head to Las Vegas in 2027.

Team Farbelow (Mike Farbelow, Rich Ruohonen, Bill Stopera, Darren Lehto) now boasts a full set of medals from the ACE & Company World Senior Men’s Curling Championship—silver in 2024, bronze in 2025, and now gold in 2026.

To the new faces that came through our doors and found out that curling is for them.

To the old friends we saw again or reconnected with.

To everyone who found out Danny Casper was going to the Olympics to represent Team USA and decided to come to an Open House to try this thing called curling.

To the people who booked a private event with us.

To all the participants in the bonspiels we hosted.

To all the club volunteers.

We say THANK YOU. 🤝

It was a season that we'll remember for a very long time.

We'll still be around in the offseason with updates, projects, and of course looking ahead to 2026/27.

The last portion of our private events was held this weekend! Thank you to everyone who came out in the rain, especially those for the rescheduled Open House session!

For one last time this season, we'd like to thank our ice crew of Jim, Bob, Tim, and many others. They worked tirelessly trying to ensure the ice was in good shape for our leagues, bonspiels, and events. Without them pebbling, scraping, and nipping, we wouldn't be able to enjoy the game that we all love and obsess over.

Thank you for all the hard work you've put in since September!

This year's Pull The Plug had an unprecedented number of participants fresh out of the Learn To Curl program! It was great to see them continue their growth and play not only with their peers, but experienced curlers as well!

It's also a testament to our Learn To Curl instructors, who worked with them on Sunday mornings! There's a whole batch of instructors that we risk forgetting some names, but thanks to you all!

Even though our season is over, our October Learn To Curl is now open!
