POWER JACK REPAIR
This mornings project was a power jack repair on a very important Lenovo laptop. This particular repair required that motherboard be removed, and then broken jack was de-soldered from the motherboard and a new jack installed. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

Please unplug your computers and valuable electronics during lightning storms! We've seen a LOT of equipment get destroyed over the years. A high quality surge protector helps, but NOTHING will protect your equipment from a direct hit.

CUSTOM DESKTOP - MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
I had the pleasure of building a new computer for a client this week. The customer wanted custom desktop while selectivly picking components to minimize the impact of the current RAM and drive prices. This desktop ended up being a basic all blacked out build. The particular build process went quickly once the parts arrived.

WILL HISTORY REPEAT ITSELF?
This used to be a thing back in the 90's. RAM was expensive so offices would lock the side panels to prevent RAM theft by night workers.

RAM prices have recently tripled so this practice may return soon.

NOT GOOD!
Au customer brought in a pre-built gaming PC that was having problems. The thermal paste is absent in the center of the CPU where its needed most. This will lead to over-heating on an Intel I9 14900K that's already very well known for over-heating. This was NOT the customers fault. It came like this from the PC manufacturer.
