🏁 A little 1/8 buggy action from the Rocket City Challenge! 🏁

RC3 Racing in Huntsville, Alabama hosted the 17th Annual Rocket City Challenge this past weekend, bringing together racers for three days of off-road RC action.

Mach Speed Hobbies made the trip down to check out the track and try our hand at competing in the 1/8th scale classes, and we had a great time getting some laps in and seeing what the RC3 crew is all about.

Here’s some footage from Day 1 of qualifying, with the 1/8 buggies getting after it through the heats. Fast cars, big air, and plenty of close racing on a track that definitely kept the drivers working! 🔥🏎️💨

And it definitely wasn’t just 1/8 scale action — there were plenty of other classes hitting the track too, including short course trucks and many 1/10 2WD and 4WD classes, so there was a great variety of racing throughout the weekend.

Huge thanks to the crew at RC3 Racing and everyone who put in the work to make the event happen. We’re glad we made the trip!
