There is a certain cosmic attraction when it comes to Records and the people who seek them — today I was on the road with Greenwood Amplifier Repair picking records and as we set out, John said he might really like to see Judee Sill’s Heart Food today — and we did!

It’s just too strange how often this kind of thing happens, a coincidence so on the nose that it seems like destiny… or something like that. Oh, did I mention it’s Judee Sill’s birthday? If you’re unfamiliar, today is the day to check her out. She was a genius and another one of the great rock n roll tragedies of the 21st century.

This copy was originally part of the KPGY (now KURE) archive on the Iowa State University campus. We doubt it saw much airplay in those days and was relatively well preserved aside from the jacket condition. About 10 years ago they liquidated that archive in a huge sale and it is one of the regrets of my career is that I wasn’t there!

We picked up about 250 albums today including some amazing promos from KPGY — we should have them out next week!

Anyone out there have records from the KPGY archive? I know Nash Wiley probably is holding some heaters 👀
