Wellstone Press is excited to announce the new release of APPEARANCES – EXPERIMENTAL PORTRAITURE, by Gold List Award artist, Rebecca Gabriel. This is a groundbreaking collection which includes 30 full-color reproductions and text by Gabriel in which she describes her creative process.

The book explores aspects of the human condition through Gabriel's unique and evolving visual language. Excerpts from Walt Whitman and Shakespeare serve as a prologue and afterward.

The introduction, by art critic John Seed (author of "Disrupted Realism), sums up Gabriel's accomplishment well. He writes: "Finding ways to try and express the mysteries of others through portraiture has taken Rebecca Gabriel towards her own imaginative core. Her journey has been very rich indeed as she has inched closer and closer to things that will never be understood."

APPEARANCES – EXPERIMENTAL PORTRAITURE is available at your independent bookstore, Barnes & Noble, and Amazon for $24.95. Wellstone Press also published Gabriel's previous book WOMAN'S JOURNEY - A LIFE IN PAINTINGS.

Wellstone Press is not the publisher of "Remember Who You Are: What Pedro Gomez Showed Us About Baseball and Life." We have tried to contact the publisher, Wellstone Books, but have been unable to do so.
If you are trying to contact Wellstone Books try Poets and Writers. That is the only site where Wellstone Books is noted, at least that we can find.

07/13/2020

Wellstone Press has been on hiatus for some time now. We will reprint books in catalog, do corrections, new editions of published works, but we will not be publishing new work for the foreseeable future.

Jonah continues to edit poetry collections and any other kind of text, including nonfiction, fiction, and government proposals. He is also available for manuscript consultations.

Wellstone Press is undergoing some changes, as we have moved from Southern Oregon to Denver. We will not be publishing until Fall 2019.
However, I am amping up on editing of poetry manuscripts. If you, or anyone you know, is looking for expert help with editing and manuscript organization, please write me at [email protected]
Likewise, if you are looking for a poetry mentor, please contact me.
I provide a free hour of consultation. From that I believe we'll be able to determine our fit.
I'm happy to answer any questions via email or on the phone.
Thank you.
