“So glad harvest is done.” 🍇 🤔 🔗 👇

Every seasoned winemaker has heard it from a first-timer right after the last load crosses the scale. And every seasoned winemaker knows better.

Once the seasonal crew heads home and the rush fades, a winery lives with the records it made in a hurry. In a new post on The Buzz, Mike Alley, a former winemaker and the winery product manager for Crafted ERP, walks through what happens after crush:

→ Why one wrong AVA entry at intake can follow a lot all the way to the label
→ How the work in the cellar looks different for different varietals
→ Why next year’s harvest plan starts the day this one ends
→ How better data in leads to better data out, and keeps winemakers in the cellar and the vineyard instead of at a desk

The crush pad goes quiet. The vintage is just getting started.

Some things get better with age. That spreadsheet named “Inventory_FINAL_v7”? Probably not.
As your winery grows, the processes that once worked can start to feel stretched. More orders. More sales channels. More time spent tracking down the right numbers.
At Crafted ERP, we appreciate the patience that goes into a great vintage. But finding your inventory, understanding costs, and getting orders out the door shouldn’t require the same wait.

Your production system tracks batches beautifully. It was never built to close your books, calculate excise tax, or survive a TTB audit.

That's not a flaw. It's what "production-only" means — and it's why replacing one point solution with another never actually fixes anything.

We broke down the myths that make "we'll just connect the platforms" sound like a plan, and what it actually takes to run a brewery on one system instead of five.

Read our blog:

Brewery software that only tracks production leaves the rest of your stack to someone else. See why one unified platform beats patching the gap.

The cans are ready for retail.
The bottle is dressed for dinner.
The variety pack brought friends.
Behind every format? Different packaging, costs, inventory, and plans to keep straight.
At Crafted ERP, we love the craft — and we care about everything it takes to get that craft out the door.
Because great beverages deserve great operations.
