🩺 Today is National Emergency Nurses Day!

When every second counts, emergency nurses are there. From unexpected injuries and medical emergencies to serious health complications, these dedicated professionals make critical decisions, provide skilled care, and offer comfort to patients and families during some of their most difficult moments.

Their work takes compassion, quick thinking, teamwork, and a whole lot of heart. ❤️

At Acorn, we know that supporting great patient care also means supporting the healthcare teams behind it. That's why we help healthcare organizations keep provider data accurate and administrative processes running smoothly, so care teams have the support they need to focus on what matters most: their patients.

To all the emergency nurses who show up, step up, and make a difference every day, thank you for all you do!

Payer issues can create significant delays for healthcare organizations, particularly when standard communication channels fail to produce a clear answer or resolution. Knowing when and how to escalate can make an important difference in keeping enrollment processes moving!

Different situations may call for different approaches—some teams find success escalating through internal payer contacts, while others turn to executive leadership or regulatory channels when an issue remains unresolved. In many cases, consistent follow-up is still essential to getting answers.

Understanding what has worked for other healthcare professionals can help teams approach difficult payer situations more effectively.

What’s most effective when a payer issue isn’t being resolved (and which approach has delivered the best results for your organization)?

Internal escalation?
Executive outreach?
Regulatory complaint?
Persistent follow-up?

Provider readiness is a critical conversation in healthcare. And we're bringing it to NAMSS 2026!

Getting providers ready to deliver care takes more than credentialing alone.

When credentialing, privileging, payer enrollment, and other provider operations aren't connected, the result can be delayed patient care, delayed reimbursement, and more administrative work for healthcare teams.

It's time to think beyond credentialing and focus on the bigger picture: provider readiness.

At Acorn, we're helping healthcare organizations connect the people, processes, and data that get providers ready to care for patients—and keep them ready.

📍 Attending NAMSS? Stop by Booth 309!

We'd love to connect, hear about your challenges, and talk about how a more connected approach to provider operations can make a difference.

AI is changing healthcare in ways that go far beyond the exam room. 🩺

One emerging technology, known as ambient AI, is helping healthcare professionals spend less time on paperwork and more time focused on patients.

Here's how it's making a difference:

⌚️ Less Paperwork: AI can help capture patient conversations and turn them into clinical notes.

📉 Less Administrative Stress: Automating repetitive tasks can help reduce workloads and ease some of the pressures healthcare professionals face.

📑 Better Documentation: AI-assisted tools can help create more complete and consistent patient records with appropriate clinical review.

📈 Smoother Workflows: More efficient processes mean healthcare teams can spend less time on administrative tasks.

🩺 Smarter Healthcare Operations: AI-driven automation also has potential applications in credentialing, licensing, and compliance tracking.

At Acorn, we're keeping a close eye on how innovations like AI can help healthcare organizations work smarter and more efficiently.

Because better healthcare isn't just about what happens during a patient visit.

It's also about the systems, processes, and people working behind the scenes to make quality care possible.

Safe healthcare starts with people and the systems that support them.

During Healthcare Security and Safety Week, we recognize the professionals working every day to protect patients, providers, staff, and healthcare organizations.

At Acorn, we’re proud to support safer, stronger healthcare operations with accurate provider data teams can trust.

Thank you to the security and safety professionals helping make healthcare a safer place for everyone. 💙

AI is becoming more common across healthcare operations, including credentialing. Its potential to reduce repetitive work and speed up routine processes is significant, but credentialing also requires judgment, context, and expertise that technology may not fully replicate.

The real question is not whether AI has a role, but where that role should begin and end.

For some teams, automation may be most valuable for administrative tasks, but for others, they may be comfortable giving AI a much larger part in the process.

As organizations adopt new tools, finding the right balance between efficiency and human oversight will be critical.

In your opinion, how much of credentialing should AI actually handle?

1. As much as possible
2. Routine tasks only
3. Very limited tasks
4. None of it

Cast your vote in the comments below and share your perspective. Where do you think human expertise is still essential (and non-negotiable)?

The future of provider operations isn’t about adding AI everywhere.

It’s about applying technology where it can actually make the work better.

Automate the repetitive.
Connect the fragmented.
Surface what needs attention.
Keep people where expertise and judgment matter.

That’s how Acorn thinks about responsible AI and our role as the system behind the system powering Provider Readiness.
More automation. More human capacity. Both can be true.

Let’s talk about it at .

Today, on National Women’s Health and Fitness Day, we recognize the importance of preventive care, healthy lifestyles, and access to quality healthcare at every stage of life. 💜

Women’s health goes beyond an annual checkup. Routine screenings, preventive services, physical activity, and ongoing care all contribute to better long-term health.

Behind that care are healthcare organizations and professionals working every day to make it easier for patients to connect with the right providers. Accurate, trusted provider information is an important part of that effort—helping reduce administrative barriers, improve coordination, and support a better experience for patients and providers alike.

At Acorn, we’re proud to help healthcare organizations strengthen provider operations with reliable provider data and more efficient workflows.

This National Women’s Health and Fitness Day, we encourage women everywhere to make their health a priority, and we recognize the healthcare professionals who support their health and well-being every day.
