In 1967, at the height of their fame, the Beach Boys played at the Defiance College community center. Is there anyone around who went to this? Just curious!

THROWBACK:
Flooding on the Maumee in the spring following the Blizzard of '78. The view shows the flooded river bank behind Dirt Fighter at the intersection of First and Perry streets. Looks like a mess! Who remembers?

THROWBACK:
The generosity of the people in our community never fails to amaze me! Yesterday I was given a vintage B.F. Goodrich Christmas catalog, original from 1946, to match the photo hanging in my store of the 500 block during the same era. The old B.F. Goodrich building is long gone, but it's so wonderful to now have a little piece of it. I just love when history comes back to life! Thanks so much to Jerry Simonis for sharing such a fantastic piece of our local history!

Hey Sports Fans... My good friend Mary is now offering her FANtastic sports-related photography here at the store! She has an excellent eye and knows a great shot when she sees one... just like the one below. This was taken while on a tour of the OSU stadium; it's the corridor the players use to enter and exit the field. How cool is that! Available now in store - 18x30 canvas - $125.00

THROWBACK:
Here is another interesting Defiance pic from the same album as the tank photo below. I assume the photos were taken around the same time frame (1947-ish). Pictured is the southern approach to the Clinton St. bridge (The Fort Defiance Bridge, officially) with Diehl beyond. Another great photo from Scott Lantow and the Defiance County Historical Society!

A military parade down Clinton Street sometime after World War II. I think the year is either 1946 or 1947. What a great picture! Thanks to Scott Lantow for bringing it in.
