Framework stage: Value realization.

Bain research indicates enterprises realize only 38% of AI’s potential value. An estimated 70–80% of that value comes from changing how work gets done, compared with 20–30% from the tools.

Diligence starts at the second question: what should change before AI enters the process? Map handoffs, approvals, exceptions, human oversight and outcome measures before deployment. Automating a process as-is can digitize inefficiency.

For enterprise teams, the paid AI Opportunity Audit examines where workflow change can unlock value. SMBs can begin with the AI Readiness Snapshot. Investment opportunities are presented only after financial, market and team evaluation.

For founders, the Investment Readiness Diagnostic is the starting point; the Founder Readiness Sprint is the paid next step.

FRAMEWORK STAGE: GOVERNANCE READINESS

80% escalated an AI incident to the board or C-suite. Only 40% changed governance policies or frameworks. Visibility is not control.

Escalation alone does not close the governance gap. Name accountability for adverse outcomes, redesign governance for agentic autonomy, and require auditable evidence trails and defined stop authority before scaling agents.

Diligence starts at the second question. MOHBILITY presents opportunities only after financial, market, and team evaluation.

For enterprise AI governance, comment AUDIT to discuss the paid Enterprise AI Opportunity Audit, distinct from the SMB AI Readiness Snapshot. For investment readiness, begin with the Investment Readiness Diagnostic; the paid next step is the Founder Readiness Sprint.

DATA & RISK | UNDERWRITING READINESS

Cyber insurance is now a diligence gate.

Carriers are asking for evidence, not questionnaires. Before a raise, founders should be able to show tested recovery, documented recovery objectives, access controls with clear ownership, and an incident escalation path with named decision-makers.

This is increasingly the same evidence set investors will diligence. Anything a carrier will not underwrite, an investor will price.

At MOHBILITY, opportunities are presented only after financial, market, and team evaluation. Our Investment Readiness Diagnostic helps founders identify gaps before those gaps become diligence friction.

Framework stage: Orchestration.

As organizations move from single agents to multi-agent workflows, the primary failure mode is not model performance. It is unmanaged orchestration.

Before agents operate together, leadership must assign accountability for:

Who owns the agent portfolio and defines each agent’s boundaries.

How agents delegate work to one another and to people.

Where human approval is mandatory before action, commitment, or release.

What happens when an agent cannot complete a step.

How exceptions, escalations, and handoffs are recorded.

How the full chain is reviewed, not only each agent’s output.

This is an operating model question before it is a tooling decision. The controls should be settled before the workflow is allowed to scale.

The same discipline applies to investment opportunities. Financial, market, and team evaluation must precede action.

GLOBAL GROWTH | FRAMEWORK STAGE: OPPORTUNITY SCREENING

Trade optimism is rising. Ex*****on capability is the test.

A 2026 survey of African business leaders presented at the WTO Public Forum found that about 81% expect cross-border economic activity to rise over the next 12 months. Implementation hurdles remain, with access to finance and credit risk among the leading blockers.

The gap between demand optimism and ex*****on capability is where advisory and investment facilitation create value.

Before treating an intra-African trade corridor as investable, ask:

1. Counterparty credit: Who is buying, who is paying, and what supports the obligation?

2. Payment and settlement: Which banks, instruments, controls, and timelines govern settlement?

3. Currency availability: Can the required currency be accessed when obligations fall due?

4. Local financing: Are working capital, trade finance, and risk-sharing structures available in-market?

5. Logistics and regulatory readiness: Can goods move reliably, and are customs, licenses, standards, and local requirements executable?

Every opportunity should undergo financial, market, and team evaluation before capital is committed.

Data & Risk | AI agent governance is now a deployment gate, not a post-launch review.

The proposed AI Agent Accountability Act, introduced on 1 October, would apply a Computer Fraud and Abuse Act framework to autonomous agents, with liability sitting with the operator.

That changes the deployment standard. Build the evidence set before launch:

• Sign a scope statement for every agent. Define what it may do and what it may not do.
• Enforce egress allowlists at the proxy. A policy document is not a technical control.
• Retain action logs for two years. The audit trail must pre-exist the incident.

This is the governance layer of AI adoption. The operator owns the outcome, so accountability must be designed into the system before access is granted.

Automation should follow an operating-model baseline, not substitute for one. ⚙️

Before automating a process, executives need a measurable view of how work actually moves:

• Decision latency: Where does approval slow down?
• Handoffs: How many transfers occur, and where is context lost?
• Control points: Which reviews protect quality, compliance, and capital?
• Exception volume: How often do cases leave the standard path?
• Cost-to-serve: What does each segment, transaction, or outcome truly consume?
• Ownership: Who is accountable when the process crosses functions or borders?

This baseline prevents automation from accelerating ambiguity, concealing weak controls, or shifting costs without improving performance. It also creates the evidence required to prioritize the right interventions, define success measures, and assign accountable owners.

At MOHBILITY, diligence starts at the second question, not the first pitch. We present opportunities only after financial, market, and team evaluation. The same discipline applies to transformation: understand the operating model first, then determine where technology can create durable advantage. 🌐

Comment “BASELINE” and share the metric your leadership team would measure first: decision latency, handoffs, controls, exceptions, cost-to-serve, or ownership. 💬
