🥳 Six years ago today, I released the world’s first augmented reality album and my first educational app “The Big Sky Above Us” on iPhone and iPad.

Today I’m excited to announce version 3.0 is finally here! I completely rewrote this app from the ground up to add new features like VR mode, and performance improvements that weren’t possible before.

This app will continue to be completely free, because I believe everyone should learn about space! I have another small update planned as well (asteroid belt ☄️) and I see no reason this app couldn’t be ported to Vision Pro in the future.

Join us at our next meetup! With a single sentence and generative AI, literally anyone can create an oil painting, a 3D render, a tattoo, a fashion line, and an entire roster of cartoon characters, all in a day!

In this session we will review some tips and tricks we found working with the world’s best publicly available AI systems to create art, assets, and more!

These technologies work well with augmented reality and virtual reality, but we’ve also learned how to best extend our creativity outside of the digital world in the form of paintings, clothing, and packaging.

Over the past 4 months Casey experimented with these systems in beta through public release, and now he’s ready to share the thousands of creations he was able to make.

Attendees will also get a new look at our latest AR/VR apps that were created with the help of OpenAI’s Dall-E 2, Stable Diffusion, and even Google’s LaMDA which is still in beta!

🤯 Best Black History Month Ever. The last two weeks working alongside Apple were amazing. I learned SO much, I finally incorporated my business, and the changes I made to my next app will really blow you away when it comes out!

I also got to meet 12 other black and brown founders of companies all over the globe! 🌍 I felt extremely blessed to be one of the few in the FIRST camp for black entrepreneurs and we even got a limited edition black history month Apple Watch!

Can’t wait to see where things go with the next year of support from the team at Apple 🍎

📦 Cardboard Soldiers is still in development, special thanks to Martin our animation lead! He has brought this project to life so well that I’ve basically cancelled the idea of having a budget for developing this game. We’ve really just focused on the user experience and art!

For reference Cardboard Soldiers has been in development for 3 years because the original idea was beyond the capabilities of ARKit at the time. Now after years of working on the game engine and improvements to iOS, this idea is finally possible!

No planned release date but it could definitely arrive this year with enough hard work!
