Cullman Amateur Radio Club

The Cullman Amateur Radio Club is an ARRL affiliated, Special Service club formed for the purpose of promoting amateur radio in our community.

The Cullman Amateur Radio Club of Cullman, Alabama with the callsign N4TUN, is an ARRL affiliated, Special Service club formed for the purpose of promoting amateur radio in our community. The Club offers many avenues for your amateur radio enjoyment and growth. We actively support the Cullman Emergency Management Agency and Skywarn as well as several community service agencies. The Club meets the

3rd Tuesday of each month beginning at 7PM at the Cullman County Commission On Aging Bldg, located on Sportsman Lake Road, just off Highway 31 North. Guests are always welcome! The Club additionally offers a testing session, conducted on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7PM, also at the Commission On Aging Bldg. All levels of tests are provided.

📡🌎 FIELD DAY 2026 IS COMING TO CULLMAN! 🌎📡

Have you ever wondered how people can communicate around the world without the internet, cell phones, or even commercial power?

Come find out at the N4TUN – Cullman Amateur Radio Club ARRL Field Day operation!

📅 June 27-28, 2026
📍 Veterans' Memorial Pavilion at Sportsmans Lake Park
🕐 Begins Saturday at 1:00 PM
🕐 Continues through the night and concludes Sunday at 1:00 PM

Field Day is Amateur Radio's largest annual on-the-air event, combining emergency preparedness, public service, technical skills, and a whole lot of fun! Club members will be operating portable radio stations, making contacts across North America and beyond while demonstrating how Amateur Radio can provide communications when other systems fail.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Visitors are encouraged to attend!
🎙️ Licensed operators are welcome to get on the air.
📻 Unlicensed guests can also make contacts under the supervision of a licensed control operator.
❓ Ask questions, learn about Amateur Radio, and see radio communications in action.

Whether you're a longtime ham, interested in earning your license, or just curious about what all those antennas do, we'd love to meet you!

Bring a friend, bring your questions, and experience the excitement of communicating across the country—and around the world—from right here in Cullman.

We’ll have a “Get On The Air” station for unlicensed visitors who want to try ham radio for themselves! That’s right — you can actually get on the radio and make a contact with the help of licensed operators.

✅ Friendly radio operators happy to answer questions
✅ A chance to try ham radio yourself
