Seventeen years. One birthday. A whole lot to celebrate.

Last month, we took a moment to step away from our screens (yes, all of us) to celebrate two things that matter to us.

First, 17 years of 789. What started as a dream has become an incredible journey filled with amazing clients, unforgettable projects, and friendships we’ll always be grateful for.

Second, we celebrated Sophia’s birthday! We’re lucky to have her as part of our team, and we never pass up an opportunity for cake, laughs, and embarrassing someone with birthday wishes.

To our clients… thank you again for trusting our creative team of nerds over the past 17 years. Your belief in us has made every late night, every brainstorm, and every big launch worthwhile.

And to our team… thank you for making 789 what it is. Here’s to celebrating the milestones, the birthdays, and everything in between.

Not every project we take on is a Fortune 500 company, a public agency, or a large organization.

Every now and then, someone comes along with a mission that simply feels too meaningful to pass up.

Metanoia Therapy & Wellness was one of those projects.

From our very first conversation with Lauren, it was clear she wasn’t looking for “just a logo” or “just a website.” She had a genuine vision to create a practice where people feel safe, seen, and supported before they ever step into a therapy session.

That clarity made our job easy.

Together, we built a brand rooted in compassion, transformation, and whole-person healing. Every decision, from the identity system and color palette to the website experience and messaging was intentionally designed to create a sense of calm, trust, and connection.

These are the kinds of projects that remind us why we love what we do.

Some brands are created to stand out.

Others are created to bring people together.

We were honored to partner with Westbound Communications and Riverside County to help develop and refine a brand that represents something bigger than a logo: RivCo ONE represents a shared mindset.

The vision behind RivCo ONE is simple but powerful: to help unify Riverside County’s departments under one collective identity, fostering collaboration, connection, and a shared commitment to serving the community.

Working alongside the incredible team at Westbound Communications, who led the communications strategy and project coordination, our team at 789 had the opportunity to help shape the overall brand, refine the visual identity, develop the logo, and establish graphic standards that extend across every touchpoint.

This is the kind of work we love most… where strategy, design, and purpose come together to create something that will serve an organization for years to come.

July 8th marks 17 years since 789 first opened its doors.

Looking back, we’re incredibly grateful… not just for the projects we’ve had the opportunity to create, but for the people who trusted us to create them.

To every client who took a chance on our nerdy team, challenged us with big ideas, trusted us with your brand, recommended us to others, or simply believed in what we do… thank you.

We’ve been fortunate to work alongside incredible businesses, cities, nonprofits, universities, and organizations, but more importantly, we’ve built relationships with amazing people along the way.

A huge thank you also goes to our talented team. You guys are wicked awesome! Your creativity, passion, and commitment are what make 789 what it is. Simply the raddest creatives around. And, thank you to our families… we spend so much time here, and thank you for your constant love, support, trust, and constant encouragement. Couldn’t do this without all of you.

Seventeen years in, we’re still just as curious, just as passionate, and just as excited about what’s next.

Our nerdy team at 789, Inc. partnered closely with this long-standing Southern California event rental leader to help guide a full brand evolution, shaping strategy, messaging, visual identity, website experience, campaign storytelling, exhibit environments, and video content that reflects their scale today.

The goal was simple but meaningful: honor decades of trust while positioning the company for the next generation of growth. The result is a bold new brand built to support everything from intimate gatherings to large-scale productions across the region.

This event was a lot of work, but so lucky to have been shoulder-to-shoulder with our fellow nerds. Our President, Charley Bell was sworn in as the Chamber’s 2026 chairperson. It was a great evening of live swing music by the , dancing, ci**rs, and celebration with City staff, council, chamber board members, community leaders and fellow Covina businesses. As we head into 2025, we want to say thank you to our clients for believing in our nerdy team and trusting us with your work. Thank you to our partners and vendors for helping turn ideas into reality. And thank you to our families and friends for supporting us in ways both seen and unseen.

One of our goals this year is to do a better job of sharing the process, the progress, and the creativity behind the work so we can properly celebrate the people who make it possible.
