Earlier this year, we wrapped WTF: An almost real sports show.

Using green-screens, remote cameras, and advanced compositing: We were able to place our hosts Ahman Green and Erin Ashley Simon into a virtual sports bar. The two hosts guided viewers through a fantasy league, where they could wager their points to vote on who they think is going to win each week. Winners in the community had a chance to earn prizes and fame on the show.

The hosts would also encourage chat to vote on cultural features, such as top international stadium food, or best mascot. Viewers would comment to be featured on screen, and become part of the discussion.

Ramsay Thoms was our “what if,” captain. He would review the segments involving simulated sports, asking the chat to place votes on how it would play out. Ramsay performed his part on an in studio greenscreen, which was composited into the bar scene with the other two hosts.

Last week we wrapped the first season of Fight Night on CrownChannel, where ChelseaBytes and Actionjaxon battled to take home the Fight Night Belt.

Each week, the two hosts would play a different game, and chat would vote a winner at the end of the episode.

Chat had a chance to win trophies and prizes through visual puzzles in between gameplay. No matter how well they performed in the game, the end result was up to the audience.

As 2020 comes to an end, we wanted to take a look back at some of the productions we put together this year.
Despite being apart, we were able to connect people from across the world to participate in these live shows using remote production tools.

This Crown Cup was dubbed the “At Home Edition” due to the travel restrictions and safe social distancing requirements surrounding Covid-19. An array of 7 workstations was assembled to create a virtual studio for guests. Camera and audio feeds were routed to the main production switcher for final compositing before streaming out a complete show. Program return was also routed back to guests so they could see themselves in the context of the show.

Excited to show some of the projects we have been working on with Crown Channel:

Amazon has launched another video initiative, this one live, interactive, and focused on its Twitch Prime subscribers. The Crown Channel's first show debuts Thursday.

For the past week, we have pulled together all of our talents between Siteline Productions & to bring the 3 day D&D Live 2020 virtual convention to life. Attendees could be virtually brought into the world of Icewind Dale and explore what it has to offer, while watching the main production and gaming with their friends. An added bonus to work with the cast as well!
