Hi, all!

In our never-ending quest for perfection in our products, there is a new version of Hilo2 firmware, V1.3.

Version 1.3 disables an auto-mute feature on the line outputs that was causing an issue in the field. To date, we have heard from only one customer with the issue, but it was something we wanted to remedy. In addition to solving the issue, it was deemed totally unnecessary to have the auto-mute enabled when you have a Line Out noise level measure at a remarkable 127 dB down from signal level”

Of course, the changes in Firmware 1.2 (with improved DC offset filtering) were “rolled into” 1.3 so please download V1.3 using the Lynx Firmware Updater link (below).

Lynx Studio Technology is proud to announce the availability of the new LynxDanteSR application.

The LynxDanteSR application was designed to allow users of an Aurora(n)-Dante, Hilo-Dante or Aurora-Dante to follow sample rate changes of another Dante device, called the Device clock leader. Lynx Studio Technology is proud to announce the availability of the Windows V2 Build 26 driver for PCI Express and Thunderbolt products. This is a WHQL (HLK) certified driver that will run with all versions of Windows 11, Windows Server 2016, 2019 and 2022 as well as Windows 10 1607, 1809, 2004, 20H2, 21H1, 21H2, 22H2 with Secure Boot enabled. Lynx Studio Technology is looking for beta testers for the latest version of NControl. We have added support for a few of MIDI Control Surfaces and we would like for user input on the functionality and any bug reports.
The control surfaces currently supported are:
Mackie MCU Pro
Mackie XT Pro
DJTechTools MIDI Fighter Twister
If you have one of these control surfaces (or one that can emulate an MCU Pro) and an Aurora(n) and would like to try out the beta version of NControl, please fill out a support ticket with the title “NControl MIDI Control Surface BETA” and we will send you a link to the beta version of NControl.

New features include:

Changed pan control to a modeled cross fader instead of a linear cross fader to more closely match to a physical hardware pan control.

Added Pan law to Settings page with values of 0.0dB, 3.0dB, 4.5dB or 6.0dB. This allows the user to set the amount of gain reduction applied when a mono source is panned to the center.

Added Swap A/B to Settings page: Rotary encoder click. When selected, pressing the rotary encoder when on any meter page will cause the "Group A" and "Group B" mutes to be toggled. This allows for two set of outputs to be swapped for comparison, such as full range monitors vs. control room monitors or a surround mix to a stereo mix. Selecting "Swap A/B" will also set "Group A/B" as the "RE volume" and set "RE wheel" to Volume.
