For my off-air TV antenna customers. These channels have been off for a while now.
"KCWI Channel 23 and 5-5 is actively experiencing transmitter and signal issues that have disrupted over-the-air broadcasting. The station is aware of the situation and their engineering team is working to troubleshoot and restore full broadcast power to the antenna."

New antenna and Dish Network satellite system installed NW of Belmond. The customer was getting 80 over-the-air channels from the antenna. We also added an OTA tuner to the Dish Hopper so that the customer can record the antenna channels in addition to the Dish Network channels. What an awesome installation! 😃

Repaired! Hamms 56 TV Rippler hot off the repair bench. This sign hung in the Huff Cafe in Lu Verne, Iowa and was given to us by my husband's good friend, Jim. 😀 Remarkably, replacement parts are still available and yes, it ripples! See the video in the comments.

I've worked on this model VCR back in the day. VCRs may be small in size but they are a very complex machine.

Welcome to 1983's version of portable. The RCA SelectaVision 900 Convertible was built to switch from a tabletop VCR to grab-and-go in seconds, with a simple connect and disconnect setup. Pair it with an RCA camera and you suddenly had a compact little movie kit for weekends, birthdays, and whatever chaos was happening in your living room.

March is Women's History Month, and we're celebrating Helen Mann and the quiet brilliance that helped advance technology.

Helen brought her exceptional talent to RCA in the late 1950s and early 1960s. She served as a mathematical analyst and computer programmer in the Data Processing division of the RCA Missile Test Project at Patrick Air Force Base in Florida. She guided the Florida Automatic Computer and tracked missile nose cones, supporting a program that demanded accuracy at every step.

While some legacies live in headlines, others live in the code, the calculations, and the calm persistence it takes to get the work right.

Enjoying my corn burner on this frigid sub-zero temperature day. First, I retrieve the corn from my bulk bin. Then, clean out the fire pot and add wood pellets to ignite the fire. Fill the hopper, start the burner, and then p**f! A warm, cozy, fabulous fire! We farm in addition to our electronics business, so its nice to use our own commodity.
