What temp is safe for your computer?

With modern cpus (intel 13th gen and AMD ryzen 7000 series) we have MOAR POWAA (ahem) and more heat than before.

In the past hitting 90 degrees C was a danger zone for your computer. However, with current benchmarks (thanks Gamers Nexus) 90 C or 194 degrees Freedom is now the norm.

The best place to see what the danger zones are for your CPUs are on intel and AMDs websites. For example, an intel i7-13700K has a top temp(TJunction) of 100C and AMD Ryzen 7 5800X has a top temp (TJMax) of 90C

Even though I say “top temp” they can go much hotter, so make sure you have proper cooling in place. Especially if you’re over clocking.

If your computer is covered in dust, your girlfriends hair, and smoke tar the 50 degrees could be 100 degrees or higher!
