One of my favorite things is helping a local business go from “we need a website” to having a complete, professional digital presence.

My work with Busy Bees Estate Services in Colville is a great example of that bigger-picture approach.

Because a website doesn’t exist by itself.

It connects to your branding.
Your business email.
Your Google presence.
Your search results.
Your contact information.
Your content.
And ultimately, the way a potential customer decides whether they trust you enough to call.

For a small business, those pieces matter.

My job is often to take everything a business owner is trying to communicate—the services they provide, the people they serve, what makes them different, and how customers should reach them—and turn it into something clear, cohesive, and professional.

And because I’m a one-woman design studio, my clients work directly with me throughout that process.

No account manager. No handing your project off to someone you’ve never met. No trying to explain Northeast Washington to an agency hundreds of miles away.

A website should feel like it belongs to the organization behind it—and to the community it represents.

That has been one of my favorite parts of building the new website for Marcus C***r Fest.

Marcus C***r Fest isn’t just an event. It has decades of history, local traditions, volunteers, vendors, live music, fresh-pressed c***r, the one-of-a-kind Marcus Cyclops c***r press, and a whole lot of small-town character.

The goal wasn’t to build a generic festival website. It was to create an official online home that feels like Marcus C***r Fest while making it easy for visitors to find the information they actually need.

That has included custom Wix Studio design, mobile optimization, event information, festival history, vendor resources, contact systems, SEO, Google integration, domain setup, and all the little details that turn a collection of pages into a complete website.

This is the kind of web design I love doing: clean, practical, professional, and unmistakably connected to Northeast Washington.

A lot of my work happens in places a website visitor will never see.

And that’s a good thing.

My work with the Statesman-Examiner is a great example.

A website isn’t only its colors, photographs, buttons, and page layouts. Behind it are domains, DNS records, hosting connections, email records, search engines, security settings, and other systems that all have to work together.

When those pieces aren’t configured correctly, the prettiest website in the world isn’t much help.

For local businesses and organizations, I often help bridge that gap.

I can speak “website,” but I can also explain what we’re doing in normal language, work through the technical details, and help make sure important services aren’t accidentally disrupted along the way.

That might mean managing a domain transition, checking DNS records, protecting business email settings, connecting a Wix website, configuring Google services, or simply figuring out what needs to happen next.

It isn’t the glamorous side of design.

But dependable digital infrastructure is part of building a professional online presence—and it’s one more way I support small businesses here in Northeast Washington.

Good branding doesn’t stop at a logo.

One of the things I’ve loved about working with the Yep Kanum Celebration is being able to carry its visual identity across an entire community event.

That means thinking about how the same event should look and feel across a website, schedules, vendor information, promotional graphics, social media, signage, event materials, and all the other places people encounter the celebration.

Each individual piece needs to work on its own—but it also needs to look like it belongs to everything around it.

That consistency is a big part of the graphic and brand design work I provide.

For small businesses and community organizations in Northeast Washington, a strong visual identity doesn’t have to mean an elaborate corporate branding system.

Sometimes it simply means making sure that when someone sees your website, your Facebook post, your flyer, or your event materials, they immediately know:

“That’s them.”

That recognition is what we’re building.

Some of the most important websites I build aren’t complicated.

They’re clear.

When someone needs a local contractor, they usually want to know a few things quickly:

What do you do?
Do you serve my area?
Can I trust you?
And how do I contact you?

My work with Huguenin Construction was built around exactly that.

The website needed to professionally present their seamless steel gutter services, explain their products and options, work well on a phone, and make it easy for potential customers to take the next step.

That meant thinking beyond how the website looked and considering how a real customer in Northeast Washington would actually use it.

One of our latest projects was a complete website redesign for Rachelle Latapie, a Northeast Washington REALTOR® who brings both heart and expertise to her clients.

This new Wix Studio website captures Rachelle’s signature “Pink Realtor × PNW” brand with a polished, mobile-friendly design and clear calls to action that make it easy for visitors to connect, request a consultation, or download her Buyer’s and Seller’s Guides. Each lead is automatically routed to her RealOffice360 CRM, creating a smooth, professional experience from start to finish.

It was such a fun and collaborative project, and I love how the final site highlights Rachelle’s warmth, credibility, and local focus.

We recently partnered with Lebo’s Plumbing, a trusted local plumbing company serving Kettle Falls, Colville, and the surrounding communities of Stevens County.

Their new website gives this hardworking team a modern, mobile-friendly online home that reflects their professionalism, integrity, and decades of plumbing experience.

The site features:
- A clean, responsive design that works beautifully on phones and tablets
- Six core pages showcasing their services, values, and contact info
- Thirteen location-specific pages built to strengthen their local SEO and help customers find them faster in search results
- On-page SEO optimization, metadata, and internal linking for long-term growth
- Functional contact forms with automated replies for seamless communication

This project helped Lebo’s Plumbing move from a minimal online footprint to a strong, visible digital presence that connects them with more homeowners across Northeast Washington.

In a 2025 analysis of the top local plumbing businesses across the Colville/Kettle Falls region, Northside Heating & Air Conditioning was ranked #1 in overall web presence—outperforming a mix of WordPress sites, minimal DIY builds, and directory-only listings.

Here’s what the audit revealed:
