Say hi to our newest Partner! Krissy has already started taking on our Contracts/Subcontracts + Finance Department, and we’re so excited to have her onboard!

Krissy loves to work at dirt open-wheel auto racing events, travel, and attend sporting events rooting on her favorite teams like the Washington Capitals/Hershey Bears, Ravens, and Orioles; but she finds her favorite moments, and the most joy, in the times she spends with her nephews.

Today celebrates the most recognized mathematical constant in the world! Here are some fun facts about Pi, if you're not interested in the other pie:

1. The calculation of pi can be used as a stress test for a computer. It works like a digital cardiogram since it indicates the activity level within the computer’s processor.

2. Pi day is also Albert Einstein's birthday

3. Even in the 16th century, Pi was so alluring that Dutch-German mathematician Ludolph van Ceulen spent most of his life calculating the first 36 digits of pi. It is said that the first 36 numbers were engraved on his tombstone, which is now lost.

4. Before the symbol & "Pi" name was given, its long name was “the quantity which, when the diameter is multiplied by it, yields the circumference.”

5. Since the exact value of pi can never be calculated, we can never find a circle's accurate area or circumference.

Ron is bringing his systems engineering expertise to one of our critical missions and is a familiar face to so many on our team; only giving us more confidence that he will do incredible things! It's ! For CTP, giving has more than one definition, and while we’re proud to routinely pay it forward to the many wonderful orgs that deserve our help, we’re always working on finding new ways to bring giving into our daily lives, in all seasons.

We know it's easy to get wrapped up in our daily struggles, especially at work. We also know stepping outside of that to give to someone else is the most proven and powerful way to gain perspective on our challenges.
