When you're opening a restaurant, everyone has an opinion.

Paint colors. Lighting. Menus. Signage. Furniture. Photography. Murals. Social media. Guest flow.

Individually, they're just decisions, right?

Together, though, they create the experience your guests remember.

One of my favorite hospitality projects was helping shape the creative direction for Zydeco in Hermann. We weren't brought in to redesign their logo or to manage everything for them. Instead, we came on in a more collaborative role, to help the owners build a restaurant that felt intentional before the first guest walked through the door.

That meant developing the brand atmosphere, guiding visual decisions, art directing the food photography, supporting the website design when we partnered with Pixel Jam Digital for the build, creating launch marketing, and giving every vendor involved a clear vision to build from.

That's the kind of work we love.

If you're opening a restaurant, brewery, winery, tasting room, or bar, branding should be more than a logo package. It should be a strategic foundation that helps every decision afterward feel connected.

TigerSpirit has been a Columbia staple for generations, serving Mizzou students, alumni, and fans with the gear that helps them show their Tiger pride.

When new owners Hannah and John Gandt took the reins, they saw an opportunity to build on that legacy by expanding beyond the storefront and creating a stronger online shopping experience.

We partnered with their team to design and launch a scalable ecommerce website that reflects the TigerSpirit brand, reaches customers wherever they are, and supports continued growth for years to come.

When the Child Advocacy Center of Central Missouri needed a new online presence, the goal wasn't simply a fresh design. It was creating a tool that helps build trust, communicate resources clearly, and support the people who rely on their services every day.

From thoughtful messaging to user-friendly navigation, every decision was made with their mission in mind.

Some of my favorite advice comes from reminders I give my kids.

Control what you can, let go of the rest.

Don’t get stuck on everything when you’re really only stuck on one thing.

Keep moving and making a difference.

Whether you’re a kid cleaning your room or a 6-7 figure business leader, the advice is the same: do something. Don’t let one element of the bigger picture keep you stuck.
