400+ drones, six commands, and acoustic, RF, radar and IR sensors all fused at the tactical edge.

During Combined Resolve 26-07, the 1st Cavalry Division’s Operation Condor fused sensor data where it was collected. That data went to III Armored Corps for predictive heat maps at the same time it was being used tactically.

One line from the piece stuck with us. Col. Michael Ziegelhofer: “the data is only good if we can deliver the right information to the commander.”

That’s the challenge. Fusion only works if every sensor feed is captured, time-aligned and queryable at the edge, before bandwidth and silos get in the way. It’s encouraging to see the Army putting this into practice in live training.

Deep network visibility is having a moment — and it's the analysts saying it, not the vendors.

Omdia's new 2026 NDR report calls it an "unexpected renaissance" for network detection and response.
