1. 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬
- The shield plates are designed with the fewest possible interruptions, ensuring the greatest possible protective effect. In addition, the numerous contact points between the shield plate and the printed circuit board enables optimal dissipation of interference currents. For example, for a 20-pin connector with a shield plate, there are a total of 5 solder connection points to the circuit board over a length of 8 mm.

2. 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐚𝐱. 𝟏𝟎 𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐫𝐲
- The Zero8’s electric and magnetic field strength were simulated, analyzed, and double-checked by means of multiple test experiments. The results achieved are extremely good and can be made available if requested. As one of the main measurement results, a coupling inductance of max. 10 pH could be achieved with the Zero8 connector line.

3. 𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠
- You also have a choice when it comes to shielding! Both the plug and socket shielded, or both without shielding? Or even only one side with shielding? The decision is yours - all Zero8 plugs are compatible with each other and can be freely combined, regardless of whether they are shielded or not. In the shielded designs, the solder connections of the contacts are located below the connector, while in the unshielded designs they are on the sides to enable an AOI test during the manufacturing process.

4. 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞-𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐬𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐈𝐨𝐓 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝟒.𝟎
- The shielding available for the Zero8 effectively blocks signal interference during operation. This crosstalk-free data transmission is a requirement in many applications, such as Industry 4.0 and IoT. The shielding material used is particularly suitable for high demands on electromagnetic compatibility.

- Zero8 connectors meet the requirements of both the PCI Express Gen. 4 and Industrial Ethernet specifications, as required in many applications, such as Industry 4.0 and IoT. Zero8 shows very formidable properties in terms of return loss, insertion loss, and crosstalk.

2. 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝟏𝟔 𝐆𝐛𝐢𝐭/𝐬... 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒃𝒆𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒅
- Zero8 connectors are ideal for applications with data transfer rates of up to 16 Gbit/s. Fortified against insertion loss, a Zero8 can even be used for applications up to 25 Gbit/s. Their outstanding data transmission rates, combined with an extremely robust and resistant contact system, is excellent in demanding high-speed environments.

3. 𝐒𝐈 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞
- Thoroughly simulated to examine its RF properties, the Zero8’s test reports and SI models for simulations are available.

4. 𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠
- The double-sided shielding concept guarantees interference-free, high-speed transmission in an industrial environment. Interfering currents are dissipated through both circuit boards. The Zero8’s shielding concept protects the connector from electromagnetic interference, and also protects neighboring components when the connector acts as a source of interference.

- The series also has optional electromagnetic shielding – and the connectors are still compatible with one another, regardless of whether they are shielded or not.

3. 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞-𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝟎.𝟖 𝐦𝐦 𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐝
- All Zero8 connectors have a space-saving grid of 0.8 mm between contacts in order to occupy as little space as possible on the circuit board.

4. 𝐕𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝟔 𝐭𝐨 𝟐𝟎 𝐦𝐦
- With options from the Zero8 series, PCB spacing can be achieved in any dimension between 6 and 20 mm. Plugs and sockets can be inserted variably within a range of 1.5 mm. The remaining 0.8 mm guarantees a secure contact (plug-in security).

5. 𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬

𝐙𝐞𝐫𝐨𝟖 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐲 𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐭, 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Here’s how;

1. 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐢-𝐭𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬
- The insulator itself within a Zero8 connector can prevent improper, faulty, or twisted connections. Anti-twist guide elements are designed into the insulating bodies of the connectors in order to support a properly aligned, safe plugging process.

2. 𝐓𝐰𝐨 𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫
- With two boardlocks per connector, the possibility of mechanical pressure on signal contacts is greatly reduced.

3. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐬
- The Zero8 series was designed to prevent contact damage - even in the event of faulty operation

4. 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐬𝐞𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐮𝐩 𝐭𝐨 𝟎.𝟕 𝐦𝐦
- Built-in insertion bevels allow the plug and socket to compensate for an offset of up to 0.7 mm during the plugging process.

5. 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐓𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐮𝐩 𝐭𝐨 𝟎.𝟒 𝐦𝐦
- When plugged in, the socket and plug can tolerate a mutual displacement of up to 0.4mm – giving you significant freedom in the tolerances of your applications. Several connector pairings could be placed on a single PCB, without the loss of reliable contact connections.
