Plateau is accepting applications for a Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician for our Clovis, NM Headquarters location.

The Network Operations Center is responsible for 24x7x365 monitoring, maintenance, and operation of various telecommunications service delivery network elements. Examples of network elements include voice switches and voice mail systems, access tandem, fiber and copper access equipment, optical transport network, and fixed wireless network.

Minimum qualifications include a foundational understanding of IP networking, strong organizational and computer skills, attention to detail, and an aptitude for learning new technologies and network management tools. Candidates must be able to manage multiple activities across several systems, prioritize tasks appropriately, and communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and customers. Candidates should demonstrate logical problem-solving skills, accurately follow established procedures and escalation paths, and maintain timely and accurate documentation. Dependability, teamwork, composure in a fast-paced environment, and an understanding of customers and network data confidentiality are essential. Familiarity with modern AI productivity tools is preferred, and the ability to appropriately evaluate and verify AI-generated information is expected.

The regular schedule for this position will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. However, the successful candidate will be required to work a rotating shift from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. one week per month. Flexibility to work variable shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime, and callout hours as needed in order to meet the operational needs of the department is required.

Applications are being accepted for a Telecommunications Technician for Roswell, NM and the surrounding area. This technician must reside in or within a 30-minute drive of Roswell.

Duties will include installing and maintaining all types of telecommunications services (including telephone and data), facilities (including fiber), and related equipment. Minimum requirements include the ability to lift at least 50 pounds, a valid driver’s license with a clear 3-year driving record, the ability to work in close and confined spaces, and the ability to perform physically exerting tasks with routine exposure to dust, dirt, wind, and temperature extremes. This position is subject to on-call and overtime requirements. Previous experience with mechanical and electrical power tools is required, and a basic understanding of electronics is preferred. Ideal candidates will also have IP networking experience. Candidates with at least two years’ experience in telecommunications technologies and a current New Mexico ES-7J license may be eligible for Technician II compensation.

The primary reporting location is in the Roswell, NM area, but travel throughout Plateau’s geographic serving area during daytime and nighttime hours will be required.

Before You Share It With AI… 🤖
AI can be incredibly helpful, but remember: not everything belongs in a chatbot.
Before you copy, paste, upload, or share information with an AI tool, stop and ask yourself: “Would I be comfortable if this information were seen by someone else?”
Never share sensitive information like:
• Passwords or login credentials
• Social Security numbers
• Credit card or bank information
• Personal identification numbers
• Private medical or financial information
• Confidential work or customer information
• Information about someone else that they wouldn’t want shared
Different AI tools have different privacy policies and handle information differently. Before sharing, take a moment to understand what information is collected, how it may be used, and what controls you have over it.
