Applications are being accepted for an Area Customer Care Representative for our Santa Rosa, NM business office.

Duties include providing excellent customer service, both in person and over the phone; explaining Plateau’s various products and services to customers; accepting payments; processing service order requests from customers; obtaining and verifying credit information; and researching customer billing inquiries by phone, in writing, or face-to-face.

Previous sales and customer service experience, accurate cash-handling experience, excellent oral and written communication skills, and excellent computer skills are required. Fluency in Spanish is helpful. Must work well with or without supervision and demonstrate teamwork and attention to detail. The successful candidate may be required to travel throughout Plateau’s geographic serving area on occasion, in order to cover other retail locations as needed.

NOTICE OF JOB OPENING: Mainline Construction Technician

Plateau is currently accepting applications for a Construction Technician for our Mainline Crew.

This person will perform construction work to lay fiber optic cable throughout Plateau’s serving area. Crew members will report to assigned job sites and will stay in the job area until work is completed. Minimum requirements include the ability to lift at least 100 pounds, a valid driver’s license with a clear 3-year driving record, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks with routine exposure to dust, dirt, wind, and temperature extremes. This position is subject to overtime requirements as needed to meet production standards and extensive travel throughout New Mexico (including overnight stays) is required. A current Class A CDL license without restrictions is preferred, as crew members will be responsible for moving heavy equipment from site to site.
