📌 How To Create Super Strong Passwords (That You Can Actually Use) ✔
Statistics show that weak passwords are a consistently large source of hacks and account compromises across the entire industry. Strong passwords are hard to remember, and sometimes even more of a pain to type out, especially when most of us have hundreds of accounts or more.
So how can we maintain strong passwords and remember them easily?
1️⃣ Mix and Match Passwords
Sometimes maybe you do have a few random passwords memorized. Great! How about combining some of those passwords for greater length and complexity? 12 characters + 12 characters is 24. This doesn’t just double your complexity, it squares it. An easy, somewhat dirty solution. But this can be helpful as long as you start with two (or more) good passwords.
2️⃣ Mashup Random Words
We humans think in terms of words, not characters in our heads. So instead of a 12-character password, why not 6-8 words? It’s longer, and it’s easy to remember! The only trick here is that it must be truly random. Try pointing randomly in a book or magazine to get started.
Example: Tomato Dark Square Town Information Facility
Length: 45 characters
3️⃣ Write Out Whole Sentences
Sentences are another way to create a VERY long password that you can easily remember. By using this trick you can create a password of 64 characters or more without any issue. BONUS: Sentences have punctuation. Those are built in special characters that increase complexity out the gate! Again, something to watch out for however— NEVER use a known or famous sentence. Sorry, Shakespeare really shouldn’t be in your password vault.
Example: What in the world? This really should be illegal, how is this secure?
Length: 70 characters
