Still looking for that ever-elusive Ballpoint Nirvana.

Zen on the pen tip; the calm of creating lines.

I'm working on trying to create things my eyes have never seen; my mind has merely manifested them for your consumption... IF, and only IF, I can find a way to get them out on the page.

Major revisions are coming from The Lab at Neutronian Design. For starters, it's no longer "The Lab". Effective immediately, wherever I'm working- wherever my clipboard, pens and I go- I'm now creating in The Forge.

These lines are tempered. My ideas have endured the heat and hammers of self-doubt and second-guessing. No more random radial designs. From now on, each image will be purposeful and planned out. Sure, I'll still get some improvisation in there- I have no hard and fast rules for fill-work like I do general linework.

Moving forward, as we approach the horizon, I plan to inject more realism, passion and grit into my creations.

If you are interested in any pieces currently in my catalog/portfolio, please reach out with any reasonable offer. The pieces just aren't moving when I price them, so help me clear out some space, even if you only want to spend $20, 40, $50... Help me make room, make a little scratch, and get yourself something truly unique to adorn your walls or desk with!!! Open for commissions, as well (although I currently have two in queue). Hit me up for all of your artistic needs!!!

This piece was heavily inspired by the retired rockstar, Stuart Davis (not to be confused with the incredible painter by the same nom de plume, although my buddy Stuart, originally from Des Moines, strangely enough, is a painter and draws. His work is phenomenal in every vein of Creativity that he taps!!!!)

It's also got elements of the Indian Siekh faith, both Sheva and Vishnu. The Pillars of Creation also played a role in shaping this piece.

Thoughts? Questions? Concerns? Emotional outbursts?!?

Ultimately, I'd love more feedback, even if it's critical- especially if it's critical, because I'll learn from it!!!

WIP- "Effervescent Electric Peacocking"

Some curved stencils have been employed, but nearly everything is eyeballed, then drawn by good old-fashioned hand... Right hand. My hand.

No digital anything, other than this photo that I took with my phone. I still edit manually, even, whenever I can get away with it. Duct tape, my Xacto Knife and glue sticks are all part of my editorial repertoire. I prefer to draw from photos or models when going for realism, but am most at home when it's just me, the pens, the paper, loud music and plentiful caffeine, and no plan. Improvisational ink-slinging is definitively my happy place.

Truth be told, I want to make a living from my art. I want to be in a position where that's the only job that I need to support myself and my family. But genuinely, realistically and authentically? I absolute LOVE sparking dialogue about art. I love knowing that I have left footprints on the minds of others through my lines, colors or words. That is one of the most meaningful, beautiful parts of my life.
