Today we started a major new project for one of our valued clients. Our team will be installing projectors, screens, televisions, associated cabling, and audiovisual technology to support a series of interactive exhibits.

Shoreworx Communications is currently onsite in Niles, OH performing a large-scale retail technology deployment and network infrastructure installation.

Current scope of work includes:

🔧 Installation of all network equipment in the MDF, including:

Network switches
Router
Palo Alto firewall
Meraki equipment
UPS systems
Servers
Wilson amplifier
Power conditioners

📡 Installation of all network equipment, switches, and power conditioners in the IDFs

-Racks have been installed
-Switch installation and patching are still in progress

🔌 Additional project tasks include:

-Connecting cellular service from the Meraki to the switches
-Patching all fiber optic cable between switches
-Coordinating network testing
-Installing servers per cut sheet connectivity requirements
-Installing all phones throughout the store
-Patching all cables from patch panels to switches per cut sheet specifications
-Patching third-party systems including Novar, Powerlink, and JCI door readers
-Terminating cabling for front-end and back-end cashwrap locations
-Completing all remaining work required to prepare the store for the main equipment installation

Project Highlight – Another Successful Installation by Shoreworx Technologies

Our team recently wrapped up a wireless network and infrastructure deployment, delivering a clean and fully documented install from start to finish.

Here’s a look at what we completed on this project:

**Installed and routed Category cabling from IDF/MDF to all device locations
**Mounted and installed wireless access points (WAPs) per engineered drawings
**Installed and supported timeclock systems (where applicable)
**Followed device-specific installation standards for proper placement and performance
**Performed SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio) testing at all required test points
**Verified network connectivity and device performance
**Completed detailed as-built documentation and reporting
**Provided full device detail and test result documentation

Allen and Tim have been putting in long hours for the last several weeks on a major retail technology deployment!

So far, the project has included:
🔹 350+ Category 6 cables
🔹 100+ speaker installations
🔹 40+ Wireless access point installation for full-store Wi-Fi coverage

Next up: full network and equipment installation throughout the store as we continue bringing this location to life.

We are spread out across multiple projects again this week. Allen and Tim are working on a new retail technology deployment in Ann Arbor, Michigan, while Terry and Barrie are installing the audio/visual portion of a project for a customer in Liberty Township, Ohio.

Back here in Cleveland, Patrick and David have been installing new WiFi infrastructure for a corporate customer, while Gary and Shawna are working on a new access control installation for one of our municipal clients.

We’ve been burning the candle at both ends for our customers this month, supporting multiple retail technology deployments across Cleveland, Lorain, Columbus, and Cincinnati, Ohio. Allen and Barrie have been leading the night shift, installing over 100 new Category 6 cables throughout an active store environment to keep projects moving forward. Gary and David have been back here in Cleveland tackling several high-profile technology deployments for new customers, while Terry and Tim continue pushing ahead on a major store renovation in Cincinnati — installing new Category 6 cabling, speaker cabling, HDMI cabling, and completing all associated terminations ahead of the POS and audio equipment installations.

Meanwhile, Patrick has been keeping up with daily service tickets, ensuring our customers continue receiving the support they rely on. We also welcomed two new team members this week to help keep pace with the current workload. Bringing David and Shawna onto the team helps ensure our projects are completed on time and to the high standard Shoreworx is known for.

Our team’s dedication, flexibility, and willingness to step up — day or night — is what allows Shoreworx to deliver for our partners on every project.
