I have been quiet on the site since this summer. It has been a wild ride. Some good events, some bad events, some Meh events.
I have rather bad eyes with a strong prescription for my corrective lenses. I have a few other issues with my vision so I see a Retina specialist as well as a traditional Ophthalmologist. I had my retinal scan this summer and the tech and Retina Specialist stated I needed Cataract surgery. I could tell my vision was getting worse as well. I had several meetings with my Ophthalmologist to go over the different ways available to remove and replace the lenses. One Meh problem is that I lost many days of work due to eye dilation. The drops last longer for people with fair colored eyes. Basically it last 18+ hours for me and I basically can’t do anything for a day.
October I had two surgeries, the right eye first and the left eye two weeks later. I wasn’t able to do any metal casting during that month due to a 10 lb weight lifting restriction. The two weeks in-between was nearly impossible to do anything as well. One eye corrected to -3 while the other is still a -13. Driving, reading, painting, etc was not fun.
After the eyes were healing I started having a reaction to the eye drops and more eye doctor and Retina specialist visits I was told my inner eye gel is delaminating from the retina… I stopped taking the one eye drop and the effects seemed to stop and heal up. But I still need drops for eye pressure. The two doctors are now playing the finger pointing game as to who should prescribe a new med. I am seeing much better now and getting used to how my vision works now. In the end I have thin glasses and I can see much better.
Late July, the klutz that I am slipped and pulled a muscle deep in my hip where femur and hip meet and made it difficult to stand for a long time which also screwed up metal production in August and September as well. I am doing better now and things have healed up.
I am still primary caregiver for my parents. As I am writing this note I am at the doctor with my Dad for his cancer treatment. He has been doing better now with no reoccurring tumors. So that is a better situation but takes time.
Then the whole Tariffs issue had my shipping software in an uproar for weeks and it is still buggy. I am able to ship internationally again, thankfully.
Finally, I am not longer working part time at the jewelry shop anymore. I am now working in clock repair part time. I am learning cuckoo clock repair and I am the main person doing watch battery and band replacement. I am enjoying this job since it is more hands on.
So, in conclusion I want to thank my customers for your patience and I am working to catch up with orders!

8-7-25 "Contact Us" Page Repaired

The "Contact Us" Page was down for awhile and I fixed that issue this past week. Many thanks to the customer who reached out via Facebook to enquire about an order and said I did not respond via email. There was a bug in a recent update from my host provider and with their help, all is good now. Sadly, emails were being parsed with an extra character and were being lost and going nowhere.
Thank you for your patience!

Sorry that I have been rather quiet lately. I take care of my elderly parents and my schedule has been made up of a lot if various doctor visits.

I have had some health issues as well. Primarily I am dealing with the prep work for cataract surgery for myself.

Weather has been also a factor for casting pewter. So I am sorry if I am tardy on those orders but I have been trying to cast when the weather has been cooler. I will be getting more orders out this week.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me thru Facebook.

Thanks!

Two new items are now up in the webstore and better photos on the way for a third miniature.
First off I am currently painting up Clint Staples Werewolf miniature. Sadly, the original photo was rather lacking with the contrast blown out losing a lot of the facial details. I have up on the site the new antique shot of the unpainted mini. Once I complete the painting I will be adding those as well.
The Werewolf can be found here:

Another creature that goes bump in the night is the Gothic Vampire. This mini has been out if print for about 25 years and was sculpted by Pete Boundy. This miniature is a very early Lance and Laser sculpt from shortly after the transition from Castle Creations. All of the two digit designs are from the 1980's.
The Gothic Vampire can be found here:

Finally for the Cityscape line is a Shopping Cart full of Trash. But to some, these items are treasures, namely your local Bag Lady. Sculpted by Shawn Lux.
