Deuel County Amateur Radio Club Deuel County Amateur Radio Club. Our club is, obviously, about Amateur Radio. This is also known as Ham radio. Therefore a lot of people refer to us as Hams.

No this does not mean we are pigs, it is just a term that several people use. Though no one really knows why. Anyway, amateur radio is a service of self-training, inter-communications, and technical investigation carried on by amateurs; that is, by duly authorized persons interested in radio technique solely with a personal aim and without pecuniary interest.
