EEJournal's Max Maxfield just published a column on RFOXiA: "50+ km Bluetooth? You Want to Do What?"
He explains how we pushed Bluetooth LE far past the garden fence: an STM32WB07 with our own RF front end, Coded PHY S=8, and a custom dual-role stack that keeps one radio in "two conversations at once."
Measured so far: 4.6 km ground to ground, phone to phone, with no cellular and no internet. Air-to-ground (20 km+) and air-to-air (50 km+) are design targets, and we're sending modules to makerspaces and universities so people can test it themselves.
Thank you, Max, for the deep dive.
