🐾❤️ What an Incredible Accomplishment! ❤️🐾
We're excited to share the success of our recent fundraiser for the League for Animal Welfare!
Thanks to the generosity of our Kao Collins team, we raised $1,030 for kennel sponsorships and donated an additional $875 worth of supplies to support animals in need. Our sponsorship will help provide food, toys, care, and a clean, comfortable environment for the dogs housed in two sponsored kennels for an entire year.
This past Saturday, team members had the opportunity to visit the shelter and see firsthand the impact of these donations. Despite a busy day filled with adoption events and visitors, the League for Animal Welfare warmly welcomed our group. A special thank you to Keith, one of the shelter's dedicated volunteers, who graciously came in on his birthday to host us, guide us through the facility, and help us navigate everything happening that afternoon. His passion for the animals and commitment to the shelter made our visit even more memorable.
During our visit, we spent time with the cats, learned more about the shelter's operations, and visited with many of the dogs. The shelter has dedicated enrichment rooms where visitors can spend one-on-one time with the dogs, helping them get out of their kennels, engage with people, and enjoy a change of scenery when weather conditions make outdoor activities difficult.
We also explored the shelter's walking trails with several dogs and were pleasantly surprised by how well they enjoyed their adventures on leash.
One of the highlights of the day was taking Misty Blue, a visually impaired dog (though you would not know if it were not for the tell you), on a field trip. After enjoying her very own Chick-fil-A kid's meal, Misty Blue joined us for a walk at Sycamore Park, where she splashed in the Little Miami River and finished her outing with a well-deserved pup cup. She reminded us that a little extra love and attention can make a world of difference.
A special thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and supported this effort. Together, we exceeded our goal and created a lasting impact for the animals cared for by the League for Animal Welfare.
If a small team of fewer than 100 employees can come together to raise over $1,900 in monetary and in-kind donations, imagine the impact that other organizations, businesses, and community groups can have. We encourage companies and individuals alike to find a cause they are passionate about and get involved. Whether through fundraising, volunteering, donating supplies, fostering, or adopting, every effort makes a difference and helps strengthen our communities.
