Client from Sac area sent this JCM 800 cab for recovering in original black. Was a full body workout removing the old vinyl! Came out nice.

Mesa Boogie Fifty/Fifty power amp repaired. New filter caps, screen resistors, and most important, post-PI coupling caps (yellow ones in the photo). This is a common failure in Mesa amps. Their coupling caps are only rated for 400V, and often fail, allowing DC through, which messes with the bias, and allows the tube to run away, red plate, and burn. Modern caps are rated 630V and are much more rugged. Fortunately, all these solder pads allowed rework from the TOP of the PCB...it would have been a huge hassle to lift this board.
