High school or college student who doesn't have plans for the summer yet? Check out Make School a computer science and product development school based out of Silicon Valley that is teaching students computer science education all around the world! Now, they're bringing their Summer Academy to Chicago, an 8-week program to teach students iOS Development. In the 8 weeks, you will spend M-F/9-5 at 1871 Chicago where real iOS Engineers will come and walk you through how to design, develop and publish your own iOS app or game to the app store by the end of the program! It's like an 8-week hackathon that feels less like a classroom and more like a startup! Applications are still open but spots are filling fast. Have you heard of ChiHackNight? This is a local hack night that takes place every Tuesday evening in the Braintree office of the Merchandise Mart! Tonight there will be a talk on Investigating CPD's Use of Civil Asset Forfeiture will be lead by Lucy Parsons Labs' Freddy Martinez and freelance journalist Joel Handley.
