Well, here we go! The construction in front of the shop has officially begun!

Pardon our dust while we give the front of the store a much-needed facelift. Things might get a little noisy, messy, and occasionally look like a construction zone… because, well, that's exactly what it is.

We're open for business as usual! Come on in, browse our 25,000+ movie titles, and find something good to watch. Just follow the signs, dodge the cones, and try not to trip over any construction workers.

Thanks for your patience while we work on making The Video Strip look even better. We'll keep you updated as things progress!

Construction Update! Starting Monday, weather permitting, the front of the store gets new brick and remodeling! The Dropbox will be unavailable for about a week, so please return videos during regular business hours.

COMING THIS WEEK:

☠️ WE HAVE A PLAN FOR YOUR OCTOBER.

Step 1: Come to The Video Strip.

Step 2: Rent 3 horror movies for $6.66.

Step 3: Turn off the lights.

Step 4: Watch all three.

Step 5: Immediately regret Step 4.

Meanwhile, everyone else is still spending 45 minutes scrolling through streaming services trying to decide what to watch.

We've got thousands of movies.

Some of them are funny.

Some are terrifying.

And some probably should never have been released in the first place.

3 HORROR RENTALS. $6.66. ALL OCTOBER.

What could possibly go wrong?

HERE WE GO AGAIN…

Disney+ and Hulu are raising their prices AGAIN.

Didn’t they just raise them?

And this comes just days after all the talk about changes to their terms of service and the possibility of promotional content and third-party advertising even on plans advertised as “ad-free.”

So let me get this straight…

Pay MORE, get MORE potential advertising, and somehow streaming is still supposed to be the cheaper option?

But do you know who HASN’T raised their rates this year?

THE VIDEO STRIP!

And your subscription gets you UNLIMITED movie rentals.

Oh, and we have MORE MOVIES than Disney+ and Hulu PUT TOGETHER.

Just saying…

The monthly price of ad-free Disney+ will rise by 13%.

📼 Happy 50th birthday to VHS!

On this day in 1976, the world got something streaming services could never truly replace: actually owning your movies.

No subscriptions. No movies disappearing because a contract expired. No buffering. No ads interrupting your favorite scenes.

Just a tape, a VCR, and the excitement of bringing home a movie for the weekend.

VHS helped create the video store era, where people walked through aisles, discovered movies they had never heard of, and talked to actual humans about what to watch.

50 years later, the technology may have changed, but the love for movies hasn’t. 🎬

And here’s something that’s still true today: our video store has more movies available to discover than many streaming services. Thousands of titles, hidden gems, classics, and favorites — all waiting for you to find them.

Happy anniversary, VHS. Thanks for helping create a generation of movie lovers. 📼
