The 2026 State of Promotional Review Benchmarks Report is live, and this year, the diamonds are in the details.

The average workflow takes 18.5 days from preparation to approval. Helpful guidance, but it doesn't describe the majority of life science companies. Content in France averages 35.1 days. Regional content across APAC averages 8.5.

New this year: data by subcohort, market reach, and region.

Knowing how long your MLR review takes is a start. Knowing how often it took more than one round is the part most teams are missing.

Review duration and first pass approval only make sense when read together. One tells you how long. The other tells you how often you had to do it twice.

First pass approval is new to this year's benchmarks report. The 2026 data lands October 13.

The claim nobody reviewed was on tab three.

Not hidden. Just behind a tab no one clicked during review.

A brochure shows you everything at once. A web page doesn't. That's why web content needs its own checklist.

The same agency sends the same outdated logo every time. You catch it, fix it in five minutes, and move on.

That five minutes never gets logged anywhere. Neither does the next one.

It's why a review process can look fine on paper and still feel broken to everyone in it.

Four days out.

On Monday, Jason Cober of Compliance Forward and Annalise Ludtke of Vodori are working through what AI is actually doing to the MLR process. The operational view rather than the optimistic one: where it genuinely helps, where it quietly moves work downstream, and what to have in place before scaling it.

Monday, September 14, 2:00 to 3:00 PM EST. Register here: https://hubs.li/Q04x1Fch0

Your reviewers flagged the same missing reference three submissions in a row.

Each correction was captured, time-stamped, and fully auditable. But none of that knowledge helped prevent the issue from appearing again.

Your system of record contains years of regulatory decisions. Today, most of that institutional knowledge remains trapped in the record instead of informing the next piece of content.

The Regulated Content Intelligence Platform™ is designed to change that.

"Isn't this just spellcheck?"

It's a fair question. The difference is what the technology understands about regulated content.

Spellcheck can catch a typo. Generic AI can flag awkward language.

Content Preflight is built to recognize the issues that create friction in MLR review: a content ID in the wrong location, a missing registration mark, or the wrong logo in use.

Catching errors is useful; catching the issues that send content back for another review cycle is where the real value lies.

AI made it faster to produce content, but how are MLR teams holding up?

That gap is the subject of a live session on September 14.

Jason Cober, Senior Consultant for Regulatory Affairs, Ad Promo & Digital at Compliance Forward, and Annalise Ludtke, Director of Marketing at Vodori, will look at what happens to the MLR process when content volume rises and review capacity stays flat.

What we will cover:
- Why faster content creation does not translate into faster MLR approval
- The operational costs most AI business cases leave out
- How AI is changing what reviewers are responsible for
- Where AI is delivering measurable value in review today

MLR, MRL, PRC, ad/promo. The same review process can go by a lot of names, and that mismatch slows teams down.

Our new MLR terminology guide gives marketing, regulatory, legal, and medical teams clear, shared definitions for the terms that come up most. Great for onboarding, agency kickoffs, or a quick refresher.
