Clients | One of my first and still one of my fave clients is Happy Sleeping Baby She is a baby sleep coach and I met Courtney when my husband and I were having sleep issues with our then baby. We then connected again when I was studying social media marketing and the rest is history. ⁣

It's Friday I'm in love! 😍❤️After a week of my tiny human having the flu and an ear infection, it's finally the weekend and I'm really looking forward to it. Plans consist of a small housewarming visit to a friend's new place and a 40th birthday party. ⁣

Expert advice | If I can only give you one advice when it comes to social media is to plan ahead. Think about what’s happening in the upcoming weeks even months and plan your posts around what’s coming.⁣

Any hashtags days that work especially good for your business? Maybe a big holiday is just around the corner? How does that impact your business, will you be closed any days, will you be having any Easter offers? Try to think and plan ahead! 💁🏻‍♀️⁣

Something new | Instagram recently rolled out a new feature under the “Following” tab in your account. Now you are able to see which accounts you've interacted with during the past 90 days, and which have shown up most frequently thanks to Instagram’s algorithms.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
If you have a private account it can be cool to just check out who you are interacting with but if you have a business account you can use this more strategically. For instance, you can: ⁣⁣
✅Take a look at which users are interacting with your content the most, and see what you can discover about them.⁣⁣
✅Identify niches that you may not have known that you had.⁣⁣
✅Review which accounts are showing up most often in your feed thanks to the Instagram algorithm.⁣⁣
✅Unfollow accounts that are not contributing to your engagement.⁣⁣
✅Gain insight into what content performs well, and try to share more of it on your own profile to see how it does for you.⁣⁣

Also, another new feature in the Instagram DM's is that you now can send GIFs, so send me a message with your favorite GIF! ‍♀️⁣

Big ambitions | After a long weekend away where we visited aliens in New Mexico and went up the sandy slopes of White Sands with my two favorite people I came home to find some awesome news! ⁣
⁣
I’ve been thinking for a while that I want to do something that really makes an impact on people’s lives for the better. A while ago I connected with a woman from my gym and as it turns out she has been thinking the same!⁣
⁣
She has a background in marketing research and we’ve decided to partner up which is super exciting. We've also partnered up with a photographer and by the looks of it, we have our first client! We had our first meeting yesterday both our client and us are excited to get everything started!⁣

Can’t wait to tell you guys more about what we’re cooking up, but hopefully, this will make a big impact!⁣

If I could wish for one magic power to have it's a better flow when writing. I am plenty creative and a very visual person but when it comes to writing I always get stuck, which can be tricky when you have to write captions for your clients. 😄So always looking to ways to get into a better writing flow. If you have any tips, please let me know! ⁣

Being in marketing for over 16 years (😱) what mainly drives me is understanding human behavior and why people do what they do. Some of my most successful campaigns throughout the years have been based on insights into behavior. ⁣
⁣
Those insights are usually a result of analyzing data and seeing patterns of behavior. And one thing that I really love about social media is the ability to measure everything. I can see reach, impressions, clicks, views and so on which I then use to create better content, campaigns, and ads. ⁣
⁣
One book, that I can really recommend, although it doesn't have so much to do with social media more about logical thinking and the psychology of it all is Daniel Kahneman's "Thinking, fast and slow". It's a dive into how we think and a revelation that we cannot trust our intuitions and how we can tap into the benefits of slow thinking both in our business and our personal lives. ⁣

It's fascinating and a must-read for any nerd (like me) who likes to understand more about human behavior. ⁣

The weekend is over, back to work mode. 😄One of my favorite features on Instagram is the Story function. But did you know that you can use up to 11 hashtags to make sure your target audience is seeing your Story? ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
What I do to add those extra hashtags is I use the text-tool to add 10 hashtags that fit the image and that I think will help my post with reach. If I feel that I need to add an additional one I use the #-sticker in the menu to add an additional hashtag. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Another tip for making your story more visually pleasing is to use gifs to hide the hashtags. I pinch the hashtags to make them smaller and place one or two gifs on top so it can cover them. ⁣⁣
That's why you'll almost never see hashtags in my Stories. ⁣⁣
