“Both the students and the facilitator had positive things to say about you. My coworker said you were phenomenal—and she left inspired.”

Still processing this feedback after being invited back to speak at ISU’s Career Chat 🥹

What was supposed to be a panel turned into me leading breakout sessions solo—and honestly, it made the experience even more meaningful.

I got to share my story fully: where I’m from, how I got into tech, and what it’s looked like to pivot along the way.

I almost didn’t post this.

I overthink, especially when it comes to social media, trying to make it all perfect before sharing. But I’m realizing I don’t need perfect to make an impact—I just need to be real.

So this is me showing up as I am, where I am ✨

11/12/2025

This year, I’ve had to admit something to myself: I haven’t been radically accountable when it comes to showing up online.

For someone in Gen Z, I’m definitely not living up to the “social media standards.” 😅 Creating content, posting consistently, tracking metrics — it all makes me cringe a little.

But I also know that visibility matters. Living a big, bold, and healthy life means stepping out — both in person and online.

Huge thanks to LinkedIn’s booth activation at the Grace Hopper 2025 Conference for giving me that nudge out of my comfort zone. I needed it. 💙

05/10/2025

I sat on this content for months.

Not because the moment wasn’t powerful—but because the clips weren’t perfect.
The quality. The background noise. The sound. I let fear slow me down.

But like J. Cole said, “There’s beauty in the struggle.” And I’m learning perfection isn't the goal — presence is.

On Oct 15, 2024, I moderated a panel for our Women in Tech DE&I Day: “The Intersection of AI & DE&I” with Will Hinton, Xing Fan & Michelle Huang.

Over 200 attended.
The energy was high.
The feedback? Even higher.
“Your energy level lit up the room!”
“You made complex topics relatable.”
“Your ability to command the room is amazing to watch!”

I felt honored to sit at that crossroads — where complex ideas met real people — and be the one to help translate, connect, and carry the message across. To help the conversation land where it mattered most: with the people.

So here I am. Posting clips from a day that moved me.
Not perfect, but powerful.

Because showing up imperfectly is still showing up.

📌 What are you holding onto because it’s not “perfect” yet?

👻 If I were my goals, I’d be spooked too 👻

Another tech certification down, and I keep hearing, “Jessie coming, Jessie coming!” (in my best JT voice 😂) in my head because I’m coming for everything I said I would.

This is my first post in a while, and here’s why: I’ve been riding through my own personal storm. Life threw some wild twists my way that could’ve caused me to give up or crash out 🤪, but instead, I let myself lean in and be transformed. Surrendering to the process aligned me even closer to my dreams this October. Aja Monet says it best in her poem The Perfect Storm: “Great storms precede great miracles.” That line quote gave me so much peace that I had to pass it along.

So today, I’m asking: What’s one “spooky” goal you’re ready to face before the year ends? 👀 Let’s take chances, face the storm, and make magic happen—drop yours below or DM me. 👇

Did you miss me? Cause I definitely missed you!

Amid the hustle of tech and building a sustainable and holistic business/brand, I always return to nature for rest and rejuvenation. Just as our devices need a reboot, so do we. 🌱💻

Lately, I’ve been rebooting — pruning old roots to make way for new growth, and absorbing fresh insights like a tree soaking up nutrients. Taking time to ground myself not only recharges my energy but also sharpens my focus. In life, harmony is key. How do you reset and reconnect? Feeling incredibly honored to have moderated a panel for first-ever Industry Immersion Day in Chicago, hosted in partnership with the company I work for. The panel, titled “If You Don’t Know, Now You Know,” was inspired by the iconic lyrics of Biggie Smalls’ hit “Juicy.” (The clean version, of course 😅😂). Just like Biggie, who turned his dreams into reality despite the odds, we encouraged these young women to build confidence, grow their technical skills, and become advocates for those often underrepresented in tech. I’m so grateful to have been a part of this empowering experience. (Don’t worry, I’ll be posting more about this experience soon. Until then, enjoy this teaser and have a beautiful day on purpose 😉💜⚡️)

Hey, y’all 👋🏾 If you're new here, welcome! And to all my long-time companions on this journey, thanks for being a part of this amazing tribe. I'm Jessica White, a transformational speaker and passionate tech learner/enthusiast, excited to (re)introduce myself to you all.

🌟 A Bit About Me:

- I'm a Robotic Process Automation Engineer in the tech industry, where I get to create, innovate, and solve problems daily. My journey is fueled by a love for learning and sharing knowledge. From coding and creating workshops to exploring the latest tech trends, I'm all about IT 😉.
- Outside of speaking & tech, I'm an artist at heart, expressing myself through painting, cooking, and more. I love to travel and learn new languages, & I’m deeply connected to my roots and nature. Spending quality time with loved ones is also incredibly important to me. 🌿

🔮 Bytes and Breakthroughs:

- While I won't be sharing every week, you can look forward to small bytes (bites) from my tech journey on some Tuesdays. I'll offer insights and tips that might just spark your curiosity. 🖥️
- On select Thursdays, we'll dive into transformational topics that challenge and inspire us to grow and transform. Whether it's personal development, career advice, or thought-provoking stories, we'll explore it all together. ✨

As an "analog girl in a digital world," I cherish the balance between online and offline. So, stay tuned for these authentic, heartfelt moments as they come!

I’m currently reading Race After Technology by the amazing Ruha Benjamin. She speaks so much truth to power & I’m only in the introduction 🤯. I keep stopping to take notes or tell peers about what I read. This book makes me want to write a dissertation and use it as my main framework... That’s how good it is 🥺! Shoutout to you for not embracing the status quo and asking the questions that need to be asked within the tech industry.

If you want to get into tech, work in tech, or you use tech frequently (which means you 😂😅), you need to run and grab a copy. Don’t walk!!

What book are you currently reading? What are your biggest takeaways (if any) thus far? 👀

“My only goal while on the globe is not to let my soul corrode.” ~ Tobe Nwigwe

Wowww, I feel so grateful to be experiencing full-circle moments. Those moments where you realize that every step, misstep, twist, turn, pause, and reroute was all part of the Divine plan. Because without them, you wouldn’t be where you are today. I am living in my manifestations of yesterday now. And for that, I give thanks 🙏🏾.

This week, I had the privilege of participating in a Business/STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) panel at Illinois State University as an alumna. We spoke about our respective journeys and what we’ve learned along the way. It was nice to connect with the students, staff, and other panelists. I give thanks for all the fruitful conversations I had, the relationships I’ve nurtured & new ones budding, and the possibilities that continue to unfold right before my eyes. Furthermore, I look forward to coming back and speaking to the larger student body soon. Until then…

Siri play “Shine” by Tobe Nwigwe and follow up with “UMI Says” by Mos Def 💃🏾🪩

A Year's Evolution — My Reflection (Part 4 of 4)

⚡️May you rest assured that all of your efforts and work will be rewarded in Divine timing. What’s for you is for you. It will never show up late, miss you, or not be able to recognize you! Take a deep breath and be at ease. Life is a marathon, not a race; stay dedicated 🏁

⚡️May you bet on you & your dreams and be patient enough to reap the harvest. While time is not linear and each of our journeys inevitably unfold differently, continue to move in integrity & do the work — emulate your future self now in this present moment. Be bold and give yourself permission to show up in every room like only YOU can. You’re literally limitless 🤩

⚡️ May you let go of any self-sabotaging beliefs, habits, and behaviors that don’t align with where you’re going. This is big because we always talk about the good things that opportunities bring, but rarely do we mention what we had to change / let go to receive. For me, I’m working on giving myself grace always. As we forgive and let go of what doesn’t serve us, we make room to align with what & who does 🙏🏾

Sincerely,

Jess (Someone Who Bets On Themselves 💜)

Here’s 2 songs that encourage me:
