Today, we are sharing an important announcement:

Steve Liska will be retiring after a long, impactful and rewarding design career, and Liska + Associates is closing after 46 wonderful years!

As we wind down, we are taking a look back at some of our favorite projects—serving clients in a range of industries, solving complex communication challenges and leading organizations to greater impact through design.

For many years, we partnered with NEC Technologies, to create detailed product guides, brochures, and materials for a wide range of their products—from monitors, theater and audio systems, and CD readers to their iconic TurboGrafx-16 video game system. Today, NEC continues to innovate across AI, advanced computing, and beyond, delivering solutions that shape technology on a global scale.

We’re proud to have partnered with University of Vermont Health on an evolution of their brand, which unifies their health system and reflects their mission: “Healthier Communities. Healthiest Lives. Together.”

At the center of the new identity is a logo featuring two interlocking mountains, symbols of strength, resilience, and collaboration. The upward shapes convey energy and optimism, echoing their commitment to improving lives. An updated website and color palette prioritize user experience and accessibility.

Pediatric materials were thoughtfully refreshed with playful illustrations, including the beloved mascot of the children’s hospital—Monty the moose.

We designed new materials and guidelines across all touchpoints, including vehicle graphics, brochures, posters, print and digital ads, stationery, and more—creating a cohesive visual identity that celebrates care, connection, and community.

Every year, our creative team is excited to produce a video for the Pritzker Architecture Prize, to celebrate the recipient of architecture’s highest honor. This year's video highlights 2025 laureate Liu Jiakun, who was awarded the prize at the Louvre Abu Dhabi.
