📚🐾 Today is Read a Book Day… which feels like a pretty good excuse for me to talk about a few of my favorite things: reading + animals +photography.
If you know me, you know animals have a way of finding their way into pretty much everything I create. I’m a photographer, designer, author, lifelong animal lover, and the person who can absolutely turn “look at this cute dog” into an entire photo session, book idea, event, graphic… you get the idea. After 18 years of being an educator and teaching children to read, I combined my passion for teaching, photography, and animals into my legacy.
So far, I’ve written three books, each inspired in its own way by the animals, personalities, rescue stories, and sweet moments that make life a little better:

But there is something especially meaningful woven through every one of them. Each of my books has been dedicated to my dear friend Page, who lost her battle with cancer in 2022. We met as teachers sharing a classroom, became friends, and ended more like family and for years volunterred photographing and taking homeless animals out on adventures. She continues to be part of these stories, this journey, and every new book that makes its way into the world. 💜
And apparently I’m not finished writing yet… because BOOK #4 is coming! 🎉📚🐾
