This is your reminder that you can take a break. Grind culture is great for some things. It’s wonderful to take sometime to reach your goals. However, burnout is real and I’ll be honest with y’all I burned all the way out 😅.
I spent most of this year trying to learn new skills, going back to school, growing this page, and my YouTube channel. I was determined to get out of help desk and put a ridiculous amount of pressure on myself to make it happen.
When I finally got this new job I had to force myself to take a break. Transitioning from WFH to going back to commuting takes time. Transitioning to a more physical role requires rest! I love my new position and am so excited about this opportunity. However, some things had to take the back burner while I adjusted. I needed to be kind to myself and realize that it’s okay to sleep instead of edit that video. It’s okay to go see my friends instead of studying. It’s okay to take a break!!!
So this is a reminder to listen to your body, check in on your mental health, and take a break when you need it ☺️. I’m excited to get back to some content creation though I’m rested up and ready to go lol.
