On this day in 1935: The world’s first parking meter, known as Park-O-Meter No. 1, was installed in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 🚙

After this first installment, parking spread fast. By the early 1940s, over 140,000 meters were operating across the country! Ninety-one years later, cities are managing a whole lot more than meters. From parking to enforcement to permits, we’re proud to help over 800 cities keep the curb running smoothly. 💪
