SPEX Lab at UNC Charlotte

Undergraduate and high-school students showed off their Summer 2025 projects at last Friday's poster sessions. Research included a test of chatbot styles for countering SMS phishing, and an analysis of survey data about AI perceptions.

These students were sponsored by UNC Charlotte's Office of Undergraduate Research and Center for STEM Education, the National Science Foundation (NSF)'s Research Experiences for Undergraduates program, and the U.S. Army's Educational Opportunities Program.

Our lab had two posters at this year’s Summer Research Symposium for undergraduates! Jabou Jallow and Nishka Mathew helped us better understand security and privacy concerns for educational migrants, and Toya Okey-Nwamara, how to improve usability of digital forensics tools.
