My name is Alex Helms and I have started up a brand new IT consulting firm right here in Chandler, OK. I am reaching out to shops and offices all over Oklahoma to see if everyone's IT needs are being serviced and if there is any way I can aid this wonderful state.

With all the technological advances out there, it's hard to know what's truth and what's just a selling point. Scammers constantly trying to tell you "Buy this! You need it because A B C security reasons". Companies are being pushed into Artificial Intelligence when it's not necessary, and security is being left up to chance and automation. The market is oversaturated with technicians out there trying to survive, and meanwhile AI has destroyed the market with AI job filtration.

This is why I started The IT Assassins. Enough is enough. Now while technology is useful, it needs to be understood. Technology is a tool meant to HELP us in abundant ways. But we have become too heavily enamored, reliant, and enslaved upon it. And if our tech goes out, not many consider contingency plans beforehand.

IT Assassins is here to do just that. We aren't a company to just sell you products. You aren't just a serial number or a line of code to us. We are in the business of serving and educating clients. All you ever hear is "The client is always right". This is the furthest from the truth and it is a gimmick from any IT company that says it. The biggest hack and technical issue is social engineering. The "hacking" of the human mind. Without education, it doesn't matter what technology you have. The biggest point of failure in ANY company is always human error.

If you are using Google Mail, it's about that time to wipe your password and start fresh! This will happen again and again and again. This is why it is absolutely crucial that every 90 days, you change your password.

What if I suck at remembering passwords? Don't worry! SO DO I!

Here's some advice on how to set safe and secure passwords:

1. Use sentences or phrases.
2. Use L33tspeak (replacing certain letters with numbers, symbols, or similar-looking characters)
3. Always enable 2FA
4. When you hear of a data breach anywhere, immediately check www.haveibeenpwned.com and type in the email address you believe to be involved in the breach.
