A recent possible ByHeart baby formula contamination in two of their batches (Batch CodeS: 251261P2 & 251131P2, Use by: 01 Dec 2026) created concern by one of our customers. We created a custom query for them to check their infant feeding records to determine if they were at risk. One of their three sites had indeed used the formula. They added the warning to their menus:

WE HEARD YOU!
Entering Comments, Notes, Descriptions, etc. can be bothersome crib-side. "I will enter it later". You can now DICTATE it using inherent Microsoft features (using the same voice commands as most hospitals). Or, have an assistant do it real-time (For HIPAA compliance, enter 'Dictated by Dr Jekyll, Entered by RN Hyde' at the beginning).

eNAS is a custom application designed specifically for infants with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) (babies exposed to addictive substances vitriol). In additions to normal Vitals, Feeding (including tubes), Rx, Rounds, and Charting; it includes Finnegan tracking, Eat/Sleep/Console, and NAS Controlled Medication tracking. Each category provides instant reports.

eNAS SAVES THE DAY!
Early Sunday morning, an infant treatment center in North Carolina that uses eNAS contacted us. One of the feeding formula distributors notified them that two of their products had contaminants. They wanted to know if any of their infants had consumed these products.

We developed a query, modified eNAS with this special query, and uploaded new version to our web site within an hour. We notified all three North Carolina users. After running the new version, TWO out of the three sites had indeed used the products to some of their patients. They were able to tell which infants were fed the products plus the dates and times they were fed. They were able to determine that these dates were before the deliveries of the contaminated batches. The contaminated batches were removed from the inventories.

Our customers were surprised to be able to talk to someone on a Sunday morning. They were even more surprised and pleased to get this urgent situation solved within a few hours. We are so glad to serve our customers in this urgent situation.

Many vendors provide their applications at a reduced price hoping to gain revenue from support, training, and upgrades. We offer the applications FREE to non-profits and low negotiated prices for others. Up to 10 hours/month by ZOOM for support and training FREE for the first year (usually all that is required) and low hourly fees thereafter.

Our End User License Agreement (EULA) (available on request) is small and straightforward (basically, no liability and don't give it to others). We provide installation and user manuals at no charge.

Our applications include a wide range of Medical, Behavioral, Financial, and Organizational (time keeping, scheduling, training, etc.) functions. Each segment focuses on HIPAA compliance. HIPAA compliance is the process of adhering to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) to protect and archive patient health information (PHI). It requires organizations to implement physical, network, and process security measures, conduct regular risk assessments, train employees, and have protocols for data breaches. Key aspects include the Privacy and Security Rules, which govern the use, disclosure, and protection of PHI.

The architecture intentionally provides a local (non-internet) based configuration. This provides a more secure and durable environment.

- Two hours of installation assistance (usually not needed)
- Two hours of user training by remote AT NO CHARGE
- For the first 6 months, telephone support is provided at no charge (nominal fees after that).

The applications are provided with a simple perpetual End User License Agreement (EULA).

In September 2024, Hurricane Helene tore through the heart of North Carolina with massive winds and flooding. The destruction was beyond imagination. Many were left with no power and internet access including medical treatment centers that were dependent on both. Backup generators provided the electricity, but it took weeks to get rather spotty internet access.

Since eNAS runs locally on systems (single PC thru large LANs), twith assistance from local disaster response teams, Gozinto provided eNAS electronic health record (EHR) applications to provide the EHR functions to several treatment centers. Cell phone assistance with installation, setup, and user training were also provided at no cost.

Many organizations subsequently returned to their original EHR systems, but three treatment centers still use eNAS. We still provide free training and support..
