Hiring a Showit designer is a BIG DEAL. I mean... if you're paying thousands of dollars for a website, you're going to want to choose the right designer. *cue awkward smile*
Here are some things to look out for when looking for a web designer:
Do they offer strategy or just design?
Do they optimize for SEO for both mobile & desktop and do they have proven SEO results? (this basically tells you whether or not you're going to get found on Google)
Do they wireframe out their design BEFORE development?
This one is crucial because strategy comes from the bigger picture and it's impossible to use strategic design effectively without wireframes.
Do they give you copy prompts or do they rely on you to provide copy before anything else?
Either is fine but just remember that a strategic website focuses on structure first then copy. Copy is so so so important to a converting website but copy won't convert if it isn't structured correctly.
Just some things to think about. Do you have any questions about what it's like to work with a designer? Let me know in the comments!
