There are a few ways to handle variable product types with one single label (and save you money in the process!) This customer got a blank, branded label, then printed the variations themselves. What's your preferred way of dealing with product variations?

Does a great mockup equal great packaging?

Not necessarily.

A mockup can show you what your packaging could look like. But it can’t always show you how it’s going to behave in the real world.

Will the label hold up to condensation?
Will the colors look the same in print as they did on your screen?
Will the adhesive stick to the actual surface?
Will the finish still look good after being handled, shipped, refrigerated, or used?

Those details don’t show up in a pretty mockup.

What’s one packaging detail you wish you could test before committing to a full order?

We spend a lot of time thinking about things most people probably never notice.

Will it hold up in a blast freezer? What happens when it gets covered in oil? Will the color match the last run? What happens when that b**r can sits in ice all weekend?

And honestly, that's just a normal Tuesday around here.

Most customers never have to think about the material, adhesive, or finish behind a label—and that's kind of the point. If everything does its job, they get to focus on the product.

So if you sell a product, we're curious: what's something about your industry that customers probably never think about?
