Who We Are
Wabash Mutual Telephone Company is Mercer County's only customer-owned broadband communications company. Our mission is to remain a cutting edge service provider through the adoption of ever-advancing technology in the communications industry. What We Do
Wabash has been in operation since 1911, providing local phone, broadband internet, and TV services (streaming and standard) to custom
ers in and around Mercer County, Ohio. In 2006, we deployed a Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) expansion to offer broadband, phone and TV services. We now offer fiber services in the city of Celina, the villages of Fort Recovery, Coldwater, Rockford and St. Henry, along with the rural areas surrounding these communities. Wabash continues to grow by extending its fiber services. Our subsidiary, Wabash Communications, offers internet access utilizing our wireless broadband network to serve all of Mercer, northern Darke and western Auglaize counties in Ohio, and eastern Jay County in Indiana. The wireless coverage area continues to expand with additional tower site locations and upgraded equipment. In 2020, StreamTV service became available. This allows Wabash to offer TV service to wireless customers for the first time.
