The Stolen Sisters movement, also known as the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW) movement, is a grassroots effort dedicated to seeking justice for missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and two-spirit people. It raises public awareness and advocates for policy changes to address the crisis. The movement is led by Indigenous women and is actively supported by various organizations, including the Families of Sisters in Spirit (FSIS).
A common symbol of solidarity with the movement is the red handprint.
