Every company has traditions. One of ours involves a game with rules we made up and a scoreboard nobody fully understands.

Welcome to Football Bat Ball Day, where the whole Informatics team spends an afternoon competing, laughing, and talking a surprising amount of trash. 🏆

We put people first because a team that shows up for each other shows up for everyone else too.

You can hire a marketing agency from anywhere. Here's the case for hiring one that knows your market by name.

National agencies can do strong work, but they rarely know your city, your competitors, or your customers the way a local partner does. A local agency shows up in person, understands the regional market, and answers to the same community you are selling to.

It is not just about proximity. It is about a partner who is genuinely invested in your success, because your market is their market too.

Two milestones worth celebrating on our team this month.

Sara Kuennen marks 13 years with Informatics. Over that time, she has grown with the agency, and today she leads our client relationships as Client Success Director.

In her words: "My favorite thing about working at Informatics is definitely the people, both team members and clients. I learn new things every day from my talented coworkers. And collaborating with our clients, absorbing their immense knowledge of their own unique industries, ensures every day is a new adventure."

Ryann Ridder celebrates 2 years as a Client Success Manager, keeping projects on track and clients feeling looked after.

In her words: “My favorite thing about Informatics is the culture. I enjoy working with so many talented individuals in a collaborative, fun environment.”

Different milestones, and yet the same answer: the people. That says everything about why they stay.

Congratulations, Sara and Ryann 🎉 Thank you for everything you bring to this team.

Hot take: your follower count is the least important number on your marketing report.

A 500-follower account with the right 500 people, marketing directors, owners, and decision-makers in your market, will out-earn a 50,000-follower account full of people who will never buy. Engagement, saves, shares, and qualified traffic tell you whether content is reaching people who matter. Follower count tells you almost nothing about revenue.

We would take a small, engaged, relevant audience that converts over a big vanity number that looks good in a pitch and does nothing for pipeline. Chase the right audience, not a bigger one.

What is the vanity metric you wish more people would stop bragging about?

Paid media buys attention. Earned media buys credibility, and in an AI-driven search world, credibility is what gets you recommended.

When trusted outlets describe your brand consistently, AI systems and buyers both read it as proof you are legitimate. Companies will underuse earned media because it feels harder to control than an ad. It’s also more durable. A strong PR strategy compounds by building authority with coverage, authority then strengthens search visibility, and visibility feeds pipeline.

If you’ve never mapped what earned media could do for your brand, that’s a conversation worth having.

Nearly 96% of the world's top websites fail basic accessibility standards. Odds are yours is one of them.

Digital accessibility has become a routine target for litigation, and it’s also a quality signal AI and search engines read when deciding whether to surface your site. Accessible sites tend to rank and convert better. Inaccessible ones carry risk on both ends.

Swipe for the four areas where most sites fall short.

A retail client in our portfolio is averaging $185.44 in return for every $1 spent on retargeting this year.

That’s not a typo.

Their 2026 retargeting ROAS to date is 18,544%.

The number is dramatic, but the reason isn’t magic. Retargeting delivers when the strategy underneath it is right: clean audience segmentation, creative matched to where the buyer already sits in the decision, and spend concentrated on the people most likely to convert instead of sprayed across cold traffic.

Most brands leave this on the table because they treat retargeting as an afterthought instead of a system. Done well, it’s one of the highest-return line items in the entire media mix.

AI is now the first thing that describes your brand to a buyer, and it’s working from whatever it can find.

When your website, your LinkedIn, your reviews, and third-party mentions all describe you differently, AI models can’t form a clear picture of who you are. They fill the gaps, sometimes wrongly, and you show up forgettable or attached to the wrong context.

Gartner has projected that traditional search volume could fall by around a quarter as AI-driven discovery takes over. The brands that win are not the ones with the most keywords. They’re the ones whose story is consistent everywhere a machine might read it: same positioning, same terminology, same outcomes, on every touchpoint.

Consistency is the new SEO. Learn what that means for your brand, and how to get ahead of it, in our blog: https://bit.ly/4faujiA
